Join the club, since hearing all the good feedback that KM insurance has had from numerous members I have always tried to get in contact with them but to no avail I have decided that when my next renewal turns up I will give them one more chance to quote me happy with the kind of cover I will need and after that if no contact or response from them.Never More,Never Again.SJ.

Hi Tony I cancelled my policy with you guys in December last year due to selling my Impreza. I'm using my works van for now till next year (saving money as you do). But I never received a copy of my no claims bonus! Would you be able to send one out to me. I will be ringing you guys next year for a quote when I do buy a car, only because I'll lose my ncb after 2 years. It won't be another impreza (bin there done that) but you were spot on price wise and quality of service.

Cheers Craig

Hi Craig,

Thanks for posting (and for the kind comments about being spot on).

Issuing you NCB proof is no problem and it's usually sent automatically as part of the cancellation process.

If you get two minutes to call we'll be able to email a PDF copy to you, or if you prefer we can post you a copy.

Alternatively, PM me your contact details (inc. name, postcode, registration number or policy number) and i'll ensure our admin team gets onto this for you.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi P1junkie,

Thanks for taking the time to post.

We do include a renewals discount to reward our existing customers for their continued loyalty, so this will have helped to reduce your premium further against last year.

In comparison to standard everyday Insurer policies, you'll find our specialist products also include relevant features such as like for like replacement of damaged or stolen modified parts, trackday cover is an option for a cost between £45-£85 depending upon the Underwriter. We can also offer agreed value as an option for extensively modified vehicles.

Many thanks for your continued support, your customer is never taken for granted and we're glad to have you with us

Kind regards

Tony

Can't speak highly enough of Tony and his company, always no hassle come renewal and none of the crap that 1-2 others on here do when they magically reduce your price when told you can get it much cheaper elsewhere - as a current customer give me best price first time, not when you hear I'm leaving.....

Oh btw Tony renewal time next month so get the bean counter out and make it cheap pal

Hi all. I'm a new member having just bought an 03 Forester 2.0X.
I am hoping to find a sensible insurance quote!
No mods. Bog standard non turbo. I feel I have been ripped by my current
broker. When I changed from a modified, lifted, off road Isuzu Trooper with oversize tyres and 5 tonne winch it cost me another £175 PLUS £75 admin fee!

Clive.

Hi Clive,

Thanks for taking the time to post, we'd welcome the opportunity to take a look at this for you.

We do tend to be most competitive for the higher performance, or more extensively modified models (we'd have also been great for your Isuzu Trooper Green-Laner), so if you go along the modification route you'll be in the right place.

A £75 admin fee from your current Insurer sounds a bit strong. You'll not be finding anything like that from us.

The best ways to apply would be:

1) By calling our technical telephone team on 01277 650866
2) online at www.greenlightinsurance.co.uk
3) PM me your contact details and we'll call to run through this with you

Thanks once again for thinking of Greenlight, we look forward to hearing from you and we're ready to help whenever you need us

Kind regards

Tony

No problem Clive,

We'll be ready when you need us.

P.S. £75 admin is way beyond the industry average for charges and I agree there's no point incurring more cost for moving to us sooner. Out of interest who is the firm that charge £75 admin?

Just wanted to say how pleased I am with the service offered by Greenlight Insurance, and by Dave and Tony, my Impreza on renewal was £880, got it down to £695, another company just wasn't interested in giving me a quote so tried Greenlight and got it for £575 all in, as well pleased with the price and the service.

Hi Nozzavtr,

Thanks for posting.

Factors like length of ownership of your vehicle (or similar models), covering a lower than average mileage, not requiring to commute and owning a 2nd vehicle can really help us source the best offer we can for you.

Our best rates come from working closely with our customer to check their latest circumstances and what they need (apart from the obvious) from their policy over the year, which we use to find the best possible deal we can for you.

Thanks once again for using us, your business is gratefully appreciated.

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Peter,

Thanks for posting.

In most circumstances we can usually make changes immediately.

The majority of our products can cater for immediate changes. But there are a couple of Insurer products that request referral beyond certain BHP limits, which is usually in excess of 400 BHP+

If we refer this to a generic operations team (who are not exposed to this kind of thing) they're likely to take a cautious/workflow driven 'computer says no' approach and decline due to lack of exposure/knowledge in this area, whereas one of our usual (senior) contacts who deals with this would be able to agree and sanction the change immediately.

One of our Insurers is particularly thin on the ground due to annual leave combined with their internal scheduling. Which is likely to be the Insurer that you're covered with.

We'll have sent details across electronically to a specific Underwriter at your current company, who will revert to us as soon as they are back.

In this situation, we can either wait until the specific key Underwriters return (tomorrow) for a successful referral. Or, alternatively we can switch you to an alternative Insurer that can accommodate an immediate decision.

We'll automatically call you once we've spoken to your existing Insurer, but if you would prefer for us to arrange alternative cover immediately simply PM me as we can easily do this.

Kind regards

Tony

P.S. To speed the process we can email documentation to you under either option.

Hi Peter,

All agreed by Underwriters first thing today.

In view of the delay we negotiated with them to proceed at the same terms that you're currently under, which means no additional cost/excess etc despite the increase in BHP to another banding/level.

We'll call to run through this with you in greater detail.

Kind regards

Tony

No worries Peter,

We didnt want you to be a victim of a 'computer says no' scenario, so it was worth us waiting to speak with an Underwriter.

Glad that I could help.

Hi Peter,

You did go into another BHP banding under the product, but with the Underwriter we needed not being available at the time they agreed to take the customer friendly approach and make the change without a charge.

Don't forget to check the details of the modifications are correct and to email to let us know any changes.

You do know your cars and your new Impreza sounds like a really good buy that was worth waiting for

Good luck tomorrow

Kind regards

Tony

P.S. Did you receive your emailed documents?

Cool Rewarding low annual mileage and 2nd car owners

Hi Everyone,

We've added several products to our existing performance car Insurance range that are specifically designed to reward drivers for reduced road exposure.

These products start at 1000 miles per annum, with the main mileage bandings as follows:

1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7500

Drivers that cover lower than average road miles can benefit from a limited mileage policy, as you're effectively only paying for the miles that you intend to use. This is particularly useful for drivers living within city postcodes who do not commute with their vehicle, or where you have access to another (company/work/everyday) vehicle.

You also have the flexibility of being able to top up throughout the policy in the event that your circumstances change and you require additional mileage.

Providing your claims history is good, we're also able to mirror your NCB from an everyday car to a 2nd vehicle. Which is helpful if you're thinking of running a 2nd vehicle (modified Impreza, Legacy or even another performance car or modified van, roadster etc) in addition to an everyday vehicle.

If you're looking for Insurance cover simply call our dedicated team on 01277 650866 during office hours (9am-6pm monday to friday, or 9am-1pm on Saturdays) to see what we can do for you.

Alternatively, if you prefer you can also apply online at www.greenlightinsurance.co.uk or PM me your contact details and we'll call to run through what we can do with you.

Either way we welcome the opportunity to help and look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards

Tony
