Fitting my bucket seats tonight and just wondered what wattage 2.2ohm resistor it is I need. I can get either a 2w or 0.6w version from maplin which both look very different in size.
What are you trying to do? I'm guessing that you're trying to fool the ECU into the seat being occupied? 2.2 ohms is a very low value. Are you sure it's correct?
Yes trying to fool the system to stop warning lights coming on. Have been told by many on here that soldering a 2.2ohm on the plug ends for the sensor will fool the system...
Maplin didn't even list them in the catalogue...do you know if the wattage rating is critical? I bought a 3.3ohm 3w as they are pence to buy, no bother if its useless.
The wattage of a resistor is just a rating of what power it can dissipate before overheating. This situation runs mA so doesn't NEED a huge wattage, but it won't hurt to use one.
sorry to hijack, any one any idea which I would need for the up pipe sensor?? Believe I read somewhere that was a 2.2ohm resistor. any idea on what wattage one id need?? also best place to get one from??
