Question

My top dash cubby hole lid ( my 00) has come adrift in the dash how do I get in there?

Unclip the screw covers either side of the cubby hole and take out both screws.
Open up cup holder and remove two screws you will now see.
Pull assembly straight out towards centre of car but be warned, it is tight. Try and support the air vent section to stop it from breaking

It happened to me too

As I use it so little, I waited 'til the next service & got my dealer to sort it under warranty

Thanks all of you my dealer is 35 miles away and the warranty will be gone before the next service so , I may try to do as AlanG says . I did do exactly this procedure before but it wouldn't budge , now I know it works I may have to get brutal with it

If it helps you may find it easier to pull out the cubbyhole if you unclip the vents from there locating points. This allows you to put your hand in both vacant holes to get a better hold on the unit.
