Will the newer style steering wheel (MY98 onwards) fit in place of the older MY95 one (airbag included)

If so is it a difficult job to do?

Cheers in advance.

Cool

Yes it's possible. I can e-mail you the details if you want. Requires a little bit of fudging to get the airbag to connect, but pretty easy really.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi mate

please be careful when taking out the bag, it should be dead easy really, but i knew a body shop guy had one go off in his face..... not funny!

To be on the safe side, take all power off obviously. I'm not sure if Scoobs have a big capacitor to allow a discharge after power failiure or not... but mind yerself anyway.... very cool mod matey

Cheers

I'm thinking of the same mod - where did you get the wheel from?

My dealer has advised me it'll be 'hundreds of pounds' for a momo/subaru one...

Simon,

I managed to get one second hand from a very accident damaged MY98. Hunt around the relevant scrap dealers etc. it saves a lot of money. I was quoted the same for one through a dealer, but felt it wasn't worth spending that amount of money (plenty of other mods to spend my funds on).

If I come across anything I'll let you know.

Regards,

Miles
