I want to fit two steering mount guages on my MY01 (Boost and oil pressure). In every picture I have seen the boost guage always seems to obstruct the view of the rev counter and digital display. Is this the case or can you see the instruments okay?

Thanks

Nathan..

Ive got the boost on the left. The only thing i cant see easily is the outside temp gauge - i have to lean forward a bit to see that. It certainly DOES NOT stop me seeing the revs!!

Never had any problems seeing dials.

Simon

Its probably the angle of the picture but the single guage just seems to obstruct the view of the dials.

Luckily I have convinced the missus that a triple guage pod with oil temp and pressure would be a good idea to help me look after the engine http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Now where did I leave my cheque book http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Definately the angle mate - it just obscures the temp gauge when your driving!

I too am thinking about fitting a column mounted boost gauge to my P1. I quite like the look of the defi gauge. Has anyone fitted one onto the column and how does it look? Any other pictures from people who have done this mod?

We fit the boost guage on the right hand side, which gives perfect view of all guages and the temp display.

Much better and daft that the instructions say to fit on the left for a RHD car.

PCB, your guage wasn't fitted using the template, it should be much lower than that. It normally sits right on the corner, so the housing stalk is at an angle of approx 45 degrees.

Sorry to hijack the thread http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif but does anyone do (or ever seen) a boost guage calibrated in both BAR & PSI?

Cheers
