Default A/C and heater - Smelly

I thought I had a damp smell in the car from it getting wet, but it turns out that whenever i use the heater or the AC they give out a really bad damp smell!!!

Does anyone know how to clean it or remove the smell?

Air con systems can become smelly if you haven't used the aircon for a while. Just make sure you use it regularly if not all the time; that should prevent the smells.

If you get it serviced(the air con I mean), they will spray an anti bacterial into the air system to neutralise the smell.
You should be able to source and buy some, do it yourself then.
The key to keeping it smell free is to switch off the air con some 5-10 mins before the end of your journey and this helps the stagnant water from collecting.

Buy Forte air con treatment. Open bottle, leave in car with aircon & recirc on for 10-15mins - bingo! It's only £15 at most. I might have a bottle somewhere - PM me
