Gauges and centre pod

HAve got a set of prosport gauges (boost, oil temp and oil pressure), also have centre pod to fit them in on my 2000 classic, was wondering how to fit pod and can anyone give me instructions or photo's on how they did theres? Other wise i'm going to make a large hole in the tray which is sitting in my way at the moment. THanks

I fitted a pod in my classic (MY98, so same dash). I removed the dash-top tray completely and fitted the pod in it's place.

Chiark: Gauges > Housing

Mine is velcro'ed in so that I can removed it easily if need be.

Hello mate, I love the look of this centre pod, and have just found it on the website you got it from......but it looks as tho it comes without a front? As in, where you would normally put gauges, there's just a big gap? So how would you fit gauges in? I'd have to get some sorta plate, cut three 52mm holes out of it, and then stick it to the pod somehow?

Sorry if that's a daft question but I'm a bit confused lol!

Those are mine in a Sccobymania pod. It sits on the base of the oddment tray, and you have to cut out the holes for gauges yourself, 52mm or 60mm. Scoobymania WILL mark the centres for you though if you tell them what size gauges.

Mine were cut undersize with a holesaw, then sanded CAREFULLY to give a tight push fit to the gauges. That's all that holds mine in, and they haven't budged in 4 years.

The pod is held onto the oddment tray with two small blobs of clear silicone, although it too is a tight fit. I used silicone as it did slip once when I did a quick take off from some lights

before I glued it. You can't see the silicone once it's in place.

If you need to, it can be pulled off without damage to the pod or the tray, I know: I've had to do it. The silicone can also be removed from the tray with silicone eater.
