It CAN be done through the speaker hole and from in the boot, but it's a PITA.

Best bet is to remove the rear seat: the squab is held by two bolts along the front face, then lifts up and pulls forwards. The backrest is held by three bolts along it's bottom edge. Then lift it upwards to free it from the clips at the top, (they hook over), and pull it free.

Takes almost as long to type as it does to do.

Once the seatback is out, the rear parcel shelf can be pulled free, there are about three clips near to the speakers, but they can be lifted by putting your hand under and gently prizing up until they pop up. It MAY take a good pull to remove it, as the black sealing stuff used to bed the rear screen sometimes causes it to stick. Keep at it, it eventually comes.
