Default Airbag warning light

Think I posted this question way back, but can't find the thread.

anyway, I fitted a set of STI non-airbag seats to my car, and now the airbag warning light is constantly on.

Any ideas how to get rid of this? Seems like I need something to plug into the empty socket left by the airbag wire

a couple of 3 ohmn resistors does the trick

You'll find them at maplin for about 30 p each.

Is there any specific pins you need to run the resistors bewteen or is it obvious - the reason I ask is my brother-in-law is about to part-ex his bugeye with the non-airbag bucket seats and I'm going to swap tham for my airbag ones.

JonMc wants help convincing his wife he needs a spoiler, splitter and sideskirts

I did exactly the same swap on mine mate.

Having done some searches at the time, there are 2 ways of doing it:
1) Subaru do a part - think it's an airbag plug, which you can use.
2) As dynamix says you can buy resistors from maplin, and put each end into one of the pins. Don't believe it matters which way.

I did the latter but couldn't get hold of 3ohm resistors so I soldered 3 or 4 together to get the same resistance for each seat. I actually ended up cutting the plugs off mine and replacing them with crimp connectors. Do that and your airbag light should stay off.
