Question

I know I could go down the route of 'third party' seats, eg; recarro's, corbeau, etc, but some mean new subframes which I'm not sure about.

Anyway, what types of different seats did/does the impreza come with.

as you all know the blackbeast is a MY94 WRX Wagon, so it does not have the 'nissan micra' seats that early UK cars came with, it has slightly more supportive seats.

So what's the difference between my seats and say the STi v2 seats?

Are later MY seats better?

Guess I could fit P1 seats in a MY94? (same runners?)

What about MY01 bucket seats or Sti Type UK seats? can they be fitted to earlier cars (guessing not)

Markus, how ya didlin ?

If you went to Corbeau (local to you - St Leonards), they will measure your car precisely and provide custom built subframes, so I'm led to believe. If you fancy it, we could meet up down there and try and get a mini (very) group buy !!

May be worth a bash...but that said, your questions still stand, so btt

yeh be very careful with ready made subframes. I bought some a long time ago for a celica, using corbeau rally seats. There was noway they would fit. I had to go all the way to telford to have custom ones spot welded to fit. It took about 10 attempts to get em right, and even then the seats sat too high. So custom ones are def. better but make sure theyre absolutely spot on, because once theyre in, you cant adjust them much.

bioforger thinks 24hrs in a day, 24 beers in a case, coincedence?

Markus,

To get a good early replacement, you need to hunt down an early Recaro interior as shown on this thread ...

The door cards, seats and subframes are all a straightforward swap but they don't come up often...

I paid £500 for mine about a year ago.

Thanks

Gavin

I've got the opportunity to buy some Recaro seats quite cheap. Has anyone fitted afermarket recaros to a scooby before? I see that recaro don't advertise impreza subframes so what do I do? Can I use the subframes from the original seats? Mmm, so many questions........

Cheers
