Emissions regulations and decat
Are the emissions regulations less stringent in Northern Ireland - I seem to remember reading this a while back.
If not will be needing a standard downpipe before moving back from England , passed MOT only because of a friendly garage.

Usually better to fit the mid section off a UK car which has the cat in it rather than giving yourself the job of changing the downpipe.
Only a 10 minute job to change and better than taking the risk of being turned down.
