Newly fitted oil pressure gauge shows 7 Bar!?
Hi, got the oil pressure gauge wired in today. The needle is straight up to 7Bar whilst engine running then drops to nothing when ignition off.
Autogauges were second hand along with the oil pressure sender.
The remote pressure sender is plumbed into the rear blank on cylinder by turbo.
Live from the ACC wire at clock.
Illumination from correct wire at clock.
Signal from sender is going to the irght wire on gauge.
I have earthed the guage and sender earth together and then grounded to inner wing earth point.
Does anyone know if its a wiring problem, faulty gauge or faulty sender?
Thanks

Ok. I didnt have time yesterday to take it for a spin. Is that really how high the pressure should be? Read of some american forum of pressure being 1-2Bar.
