Default Morette.. Still in business?

I am trying to find some new wiring for my morretes on my classic and google brought up e-styling.co.uk and europerformance.co.uk as being able to get morette spares.

I rang both, got no answer from e-styling. But europerformance say that morette are no longer in business and they can no longer get parts.

Can anyone shed any light on this? or know where i can definalty get all the spares from?

Tim

What spares do you need? If it's wiring, then surely you can make your own?

Lenses/reflectors etc can be had from various places.

Alcazar

The actual wires i think i could knock up its the connector that joins it to the main oem lighting loom is what i would have a prob with.

I shall give Britannia Cars a call tomorrow and see what they can do.

I had a stone crack a lamp on my escort cosworth last year & tried so many people for a replacement unit it was untrue. I was told 99% of the time I would need to buy a complete replacement set. The lamp itself was a Cibie unit & I eventually contacted CARS 2008 page frame-placeholder for carsrallysporthomepage.htm who were fantastic, A new unit was with me the next day (with a superceeded part no.) & I was told if it was incorrect to just return it, no hassles. Turned out to be the right part & for less than £20 delivered! If they are Cibie units they are definatly worth a try - if not theres always the 'bay for a 2nd hand set.

Britannia are struggling to get any morette parts. I spoke to them a few weeks ago trying to sort out getting some parts.
They're really helpful, they had a few little bits and pieces but since morette closed their factory down parts are becoming a nightmare to get hold of! All of their orders have been on backorder for the last 4 months.
They should be able to help you though.

Very hard to source the inners.
I got a few pairs from buying morettes from crappy mondeo's, escorts etc off ebay. The inners are the same. For some reason, an older escort's morettes, were in much better nick than an Impreza's morrettes even thought the impreza ones were about 5 years newer. I don't have any more, but keep an eye on ebay.

As above. Inners are now a nightmare, they were made by Cibie, and are no longer in production. Nothing else fits unmodded.

However, if you are handy, you could mod the lights/fittings so that a Hella 90mm unit will fit. These are available as main beam, dip and in halogen or HID. Just make sure you are sitting down if you ask the price of an HID
