My connector to the bosch sensor got a bit messed up as the brown wire got torn out somehow, i tried just sticking it in there and taping it up but it knocking on the block had no response to the KL whatsoever.
So i took the cables out of the bracket and connected bare wires to the
sensor, tried tapping it gently a few times with a screwdriver's handle and
got not response, adjusted the sensitivity and tried again - again no
response. (The knocklink unit itself is showing 1 green light which is
constant at any rate of tapping)
Checked the voltage in the wires leading to the sensor with a voltmeter and
got nothing.
I did take the plastic cover on the wire off (the wire leading to the
sensor) where 1 (black wire) splits up in 2 (brown and black) because i
couldnt fit it inside an insulation cable, but i taped it again with some
electrical tape..
What could be wrong and how can i test it ?
Counting all the times that i had to remove the intercooler to do that install now, ugh!
