No help to you at all mate, but I want to do this too . Been after a set of mirrors for a while now. I would have thought the wiring would be straightforward enough to fabricate a make shift loom. Hope somebody reponds to your post !!

Wilky.

I am looking to do this to classic.
I iirc there are three wires in the loom that contol the normal electic mirrors and five in the JDM folding mirrors.
The extra two wires supply a 12+ feed to fold in and fold out depending what button is pressed.
My car has the five wires in the connector in the door on the car loom side and only three in the wing mirror side of the loom.
I trace the wires through the door in to the door plug and then lost in it the car's loom.

Any body know where these wires might be routed??

AFAIK, it'll be virtually the same as on the classic, pretty easy, takes a day with plenty of stops for coffee
Have a look at the thread in Scoobynet General: folding wing mirrors
