Default Boost gauge help

Right, I fitted an Autometer boost gauge today and I believe that the readings are rather out...

Now I have an STI V3 import, which should run 16psi/1.1bar however, at idle it reads -25psi, when on full boost it sits around 8/9psi which is rather low...

Now I also believe -25 is MILES below what it should be on idle, please do correct me if i'm wrong. But what could be causing this? also any ideas on what boost i'd be running if it goes from -25psi to nearly 10psi, as i've just had all my boost lines re-done and the boost is much better.

Cheers for any help or suggestions.

Mine reads in bar, (I believe all the best gauges do), it reads 1.3 bar on full boost, (it's been remappe3d), and hovers just above -0.6 bar on tickover.

Since 1 bar is around 14.5 psi, it means I have 18.85 psi on full boost, and -8.4 psi on tickover.

Sounds like you have some odd readings. Check the wiring to the gauge especially the earth, and look carefully at that from the sender.

Believe it's the T pipe, got a awful temp pipe on currently as I need an adaptor to fit the T pipe. I think it's due to the T pipe missing the pressure pill inside it.

well...-25psi is rather alot! But still hitting 10psi on boost so it seems to have a rather long range!

Only a temp autometer gauge but just wanted to see what could cause this problem!
