Hi Chris, Essentially its an LWB impreza, bonnets the same width/length/hinges/catch etc. Only difference i can think of really is that it only has the bonnet scoop and not the two smaller vents further forward. Material choice, as im after a lighter bonnet to save weight, not look flashy! if i had a carbon bonnet id probably have it painted white to match the rest of the car anyway.
regarding the reply you sent me regarding the carbon legacy bonnets, I have done some asking about and have a few people keen, but the question always comes down to the obvious "how much will it cost".
"However if we have a minimum order for 3 of the same panel we can knock off the price of the pattern and mould making."
It seems that people wont commit until they have a ballpark figure of costs, and costs cant be set until theres a committed number of people .... tis a vicious cirsle getting nowehere! :-(
So, my question is, im fairly sure the price is out of the realms of a one off, but assuming i can find the two other people (and to be honest it looks like it will be more like 5 or 6), do you have enough information available to put a unit price on it?
Oh, and finding a donor bonnet for you to use as a buck wont be a problem.
im after a cost on making a carbon bonnet for my 97 legacy track car. ideally id like this to incorporate the b surface features so i can still use the bonnet hinges and latch, but can support with aerocatches.
Is this something you guys would take on and any idea on ball park costs if so?
