Default Lets see your "One off" modifications!

I'm now bored with all the usual mods that everyone does, so lets see some one offs. Anything that you cant buy in the shops/on the net.

Here is one of mine. Commander in a dash mount.

Cant beat the pick up for originality , but done lots of bits and bobs - some original and some copied - but all one offs made by me for the car.

Welloil/P1
Excellent.
Like the FC in the dash (if you have the face lift) and that TMIC bracket is great!
Novel thread, wish i could contribute!

Mark your putting all of us to shame what an array of gadgetry

Right not quite on such a grand scale but here I go,

Firstly SECS monitor with Knocklink built in...

Now an off the car mod

Ever noticed how much a pain it is to jack the car up with a trolly jack, well ended up modding the jack so there is a rubber coated lump of ally on the end with a groove cut into it just allows the sill jacking points to sit in it nicely.

How's that

The knocklink in the secs monitor looks superb Simon!

Im liking the trolley jack mod BUT its still not clever IMHO doing it on the chassis rails with a trolley jack. Just put it on the sump to lift both fronts up, or the rear diff to do the rears.

I've got an awkard driveway that would make me very nervous of jacking the car up like that Mark... but yes I do see your point and always keep a very close eye on the rails when I lift it.

I added another little one off last night! Bit of OTT bling never hurt anyone

Over on the P1woc, one of the guys organises a group buy for limited edition plaques (unlike RB5/WR1 the P1 does not have a factory fitted one)

Normal place for fitment is in the centre console tray, but i have stuck one on a polished stainless plate and mounted it at the rear of the engine bay. obviously only works with a FMIC.

Frayz/Sir Fozzalot - Thank you very much for the nice comments.

Best get in the que

I normally make a couple of most things if i have time, but its for mates really. its not my full time employment so i dont need to make a living out of it so would rather keep it as a hobby IYSWIM

Obviously i am an engineer, and lucky enough to have access to kit and materials to make anything i want to really, but im sure you will understand its best not to take the pi$$ with these matters!

Obviously things like the battery covers and reservoir caps i could make a lot of money on but its not worth the risk

Bought 3 back boxs that were the wrong size/model so in the end made i "made it av it". Not sure if made any difference but power is up from 264 to 284 with this mod and a K&N Induction kit rather than panel filter and a unduction pipe.

I think Mark and Andy are the winning duo so far. Like the stencil for the STI logo. Have you thought about making some and selling them on?
