"he" charges far too little, but puts 110% into everyone. it depends entirely on what the prospective customer wants. i have about 8 to do though, so a little wait... example being this big ***** f*cka took nearly 6 weeks to do all in, in spare time etc.

andy

email me with any questions pm box is filling up! superstar_dj_2003@hotmail.com

p.s. cheers nick for letting me showcase what i love doing

il warn this is NOT 56k dial up safe!!! 40 odd piccies here.

here we go...
this is what nick originally sent me, abeit a much bigger version via email.

he wanted a main front pic (below) and also a smaller rear view (below one). i asked if he wanted any modifications doing, he said just the private number plate, but then a front mount intercooler, whcih was tricky to pop in, but achieved finally.

so i set to work...

outline done, give the car a rub down with an eraser to get rid or unsightly smudges and also guide lines etc, as this is all done free hand, dont use rulers etc for measurements or guide lines for perspective accuracy...

main pic done, little rear view next...

rear view done. now there was a spcae left in the bottom right corner so me and nick decided to put in some text, ideally impreza turbo 2000 awd was chosen. i said i would try do the impreza in a carbon fibre style with the weaves of carbon fibre showing in like a 3D effect...

well the whole thing was done, just needed to rub it down thoroughly with an eraser again to rid it of smudges and un-necessary lines etc. then to take off the masking tape which was holding card in place behind the canvas for an even drawing surface.

then took some piccies of the finished article, some close up so you can see the detail i tried to portray within the picture.

there you go...

that one above was 30 inches by 40 inches (2.5ft by 3.5ft)

only time i use a ruler is to get measurements right, especialyy if im scaling up the picture to several times that of the original...

thankyou. i did a GNVQ Advanced art & design at college, and gained the equivalent of a B + B grade. was all coursework rather than essays like you get in A-levels. got into the three best uni's in the country for transport design, but bottled it the day before i was supposed to go as my mum was going through a breakdown and a messy divorce...

andy

p.s. if anyone is interested pm me or email me as my box is getting fuller and fuller. regards having work done for specific times, im sorry but its a case of joining the cue. these drawings can take weeks each to do as my work hours vary every week with being on a flexible contract.

apologies on this, some people have been waiting long enough, but at the moment i cant afford to quit my job and concentrate on this full time, as much as i would like too!!!

Which one was that?

I went to Coventry Uni and studied Industrial Product Design.

used to see a lot of talented transport designers.

You should get back in to it and do an Impreza to show you would like to see it in 5 years time (no max crap stuff )

lol yeah i know. i got accepted into coventry, huddersfield, newcastle, and york st john univerisities. its too late to study now, i have a mortgage, and would never be able to pay bills etc if i was at university.

i think id develop some good ideas for a new impreza basing the idea on the classics i think...

That picture is absolutely stunning. I didnt realise it was bloody life size though.

Excellent job fella. Just dont ever draw a lass as i think there will be too many chaps "admiring" your work

Well done on that though!

Excellent and very correct.
I would think making a living is hard going though doing just this.

The cartoon 'big twisted and exagerated' style is however popular.
Look at the industry it has spawned.

For my bit on this interesting subject:

A cartoon is so much easier!

lol some right funky **** there. but ive always preferred the technical and graphical side of it. i have never like "sketches", as they were never accurate enough. so unless a concept idea, all my work seems to entail every single bit of detail i can possibly see of fit in.

why they take so bloody long, but its nice knowing that people appreciate the hours that go in.
