Hi all

Thought it was time to share my car with you all. I have been an Impreza owner for a number of years now, my first car being a MY99 JDM WRX RA Limited which i tuned to just over 300bhp. It was a gorgeous motor but i felt that after three years of ownership i should move onto something different.
My next purchase was a beutiful and very rare S202.As most of you who know your Scoobies will realise it is an awesome car straight out of the box. To cut a long story short i bought the car unregistered and owned it for several months meanwhile attempting to get it registered. It never came through unfortunately and the DVLA wouldnt allow it to be registered so i gave the car back to the company and was proper pi**ed off.
I left Impreza ownership for a while until i stumbled across a lowly looking Motorsport edition Spec-C on PCM's website (top bloke). It was as plain as can be, with the throw-away interior, four pot brakes (instead of Brembos) no rear wing and no stereo. However it was mint and with only 6500 miles on the clock i thought it would be a great base car to modify. It had all the important bits on it like DCCD, water spray and the awesome short block closed deck EJ20 engine. I have owned this car for about 8 months and absolutely love it. It has a very harsh ride and is not built for comfort but who cares. My fellow Spec-c owners out there know what i mean ;)
Any way heres some pics and a list of what i've done so far. I should point out that the engine is 100% standard as the car is quick enough as it is.

18" PFF7's in white (Cheers Russel)
RAYS superlight lugnuts
225/45/18 Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas (Awesome tyres)
Apex Gen 2 Coilovers with 4/6 springs
STI V8 interior
Flocked Triple Pod
2 x Defi Boost Gauges, Oil Press, Oil temp
Kenwood Double DIN dvd stereo
Speedware Harness bar powdercoated black
All seat belts removed and Titon 4 point harnesses installed
Tein Bonnet lifters
Rear windows tinted
Forge BOV
Green panel filter
Real carbon fibre dash kit

Mods waiting to go on car:
AP six pots with 335mm discs and Mintex pads
Kakumei full de-cat exhaust.

And thats it for now. The car is moving to New Zealand with me later this year, but once im settled then it will get an ECUTEK map for NZ fuel and a Process West FMIC and oil cooler. Thats it!!!!:nono:

Very nice and rare car :)
I haven't seen a harness mount like this before; is it strong enough?
What kind of work will you be doing in NZ if you don't mind me asking?

The Mount only really acts as a brace between the B pillars and just guides the harnesses. They are anchored in the existing seatbelt mounts.
I am moving to NZ with my Missus cause i've had enough of this country. Just spent serveral years in the Army fighting other peoples arguments. Looking for a job in NZ Police at some point.

Thanks mate

NZ and OZ are awesome places. My brother has been in NZ for a few years now and he loves it. Ive visited the place a few times and know its the place for me. What you need to do is go to an Emigration Exhibition and they will tell you all you need to know about moving abroad. All i can say is, do it!! Don't turn around later on in life and say, "God,i wish i'd gone when i had the chance!!!!!" You know what i mean.

Best of luck

LOL,

Yeah its staying with me for the time being mate. I took it for a drive and found some new love for it. I washed it yesterday for the first time in 4 months. Cant belive how nice it came up, although my wheels need some extra cleaning lol.

Yeah the engine build is still going ahead. Ive a few bit left to buy and then i can get it all underway. So fingers crossed it should be done come summertime :D

4 months Disappointed in you I get up set if I don’t get time to wash it every week…. Glad you choose to stay around for a while longer . Gives me time to save up to buy some bits off you :thumb:

ok thanks Where you not tempted to pull them out, did fitting that seat setup effect any of the interor , could you take that out and return it to standard with out any ill effects…. Really tempted one day to go for two proper front seats and harnesses

Just don’t want to have a massive effect on my 2nd hand value. I take it that people in the rear would be a big no no with that bar. Not a taxi but also hate other people taking me places when going out as a group

Have fun in NZ this time last year I was backpacking over some of the most spectacular countryside I have ever seen (south island) boring my fellow walks on how cool that mountain pass would have been in my Scooby…

It doesn't look right without the rear spoiler.

From the rear 3/4 view the back looks too bland and plain.

Sorry.

I was tempted to pull out the seats but i need the carbonfibre panels to replace them otherwise it will look shabby. There is no effect on the interior as it is right now. I have obviously kept all the seatbelts i took out to put back in if i ever need to. You can still get people in the back with a harness bar but for safety sake i wouldnt.:thumb:

The thing is that its not hard to move to these places. Think of it as moving to a different town instead of the other side of the world. Look on the NZ and OZ immigration websites for skills wanted and i bet you'll fill the criteria.

As at the top you say you want to fit a oil cooler once you get to NZ, would be rather pointless as the car has one as standard.
