Love all the cars stateside... get the NASIOC boys over
Most of the members on RS25.com don't really like Nasioc all that much. We are very close community there and Nasioc doesn't treat us very well since we don't have 02+ WRX/STi's like them.
I've had lots of Scoobs. No pics of my first '95 Impreza L, or '93 Legacy Turbo, but here are the others. '03 WRX, '99 RS with most of an '04 STi running gear, and my '04 STi.
Back when I bought my bugeye, Subaru of America was giving a free membership to the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). I started doing autocrosses and really had a lot of fun. But I wanted more and I wanted to go faster. So I signed up for a track day and it was an unbelievable experience. I ran the WRX for two or three years then built the RS with my brother with the sole purpose of doing track days. It was a theft recovery that I bought for $700. Perfect track car. Well behaved, easy on tires and brakes, and dead nuts reliable just like all my other subys.
The '04 STi (yes, its an '04 but it has the '06 front end and 5x114 hubs) was built by good friends a local shop for a customer. The customer moved out of the country and had to sell. So we jumped on it. The RS was sold and now my brother an I are at it again. We tore it down to nothing and are in the process of building it back up the way we want it. The new shortblock (EJ22 case from my '93 Legacy Turbo) should be back from the machine shop next week. Can't wait!
