I have been known to get a few bargains now and again, given the price of the R205 diffuser any many saved will be swallowed up by that.

The one thing I hadn't really thought about so far is the ICE on the hatchback, what is the standard system like? Does it allow bluetooth streaming / ipod connection, and what are the speakers like?

If the standard system isn't up to much then what is the recommended upgrade path? I don't really need satnav or TV / DVD playback, I am more interested in good quality music streaming and hands free use.

Some of your missus' red nail varnish on a clear one apparently does the trick.

As I am not exactly known for my patience I ended up ordering the R205 diffuser and wing emblems from Japanparts.com, with shipping they came to just under £307.00.

The duty and import fees should come to around £63.00 if my calculations are correct so still considerably cheaper than ICP by £142.00 or thereabouts, plus of course I got the wing emblems included in the price of £307.00 from Japanparts.

good man, I think with the paypal fee I paid £322 to JP for the defusser and side trims.
then Parcel force fee with duty was £71.

I rang HMRC to get a commodity code that gave a Import Duty rate of only 4.5%.
You can look your own code up on line, like I did. but I also rang them to make sure it was the right one for the rear defusser (it comes under bumpers).

Anyway.. her's your fitting guide, so you don't need to learn Japanese in the next couple of weeks lol

I bought some red glass paint from hobby craft and gave the original bulb 2 or 3 coats, with the diffuser in the plastic the red is barely noticable.

Brand new genuine exhaust trim finishers

Winter tyres, had minimal use, on genuine gold 17inch enkei rims

Used zunsport lower grill for front bumper

Spare set of sti door mirrors, missing the clear lenses

Original sti 6cd headunit

Full genuine leather / alcantara seat replacement seat covers (drivers one has been used as I swapped it with mine before sale) the other seats are as new, removed from cosworth cars prior to them having bespoke cosworth interior fitted - perfect if you've got damaged / torn seats.

Genuine top grille with sti badge intact.

A full set of unopened oil required for the diff and gearbox (will have to check specs etc but it's the correct motul stuff). I will check quantity.

On another note... I've got sick of driving an Aygo, actually regretted selling the hatch and now hunting for an m3 v8
Hi you have pm I will take the trim finishers and possibly the lower zunsport grill.thanks lian

If you are an iphone user then pioneer F960BT (or DAB) will soon support Apple Car Play for some nice integration.

I have one and it sounds very good with what i think are the standard speakers, loads of connectivity options and micro SD.

I don't have an iPhone at present although I may get one when the new model is released, ideally I want something which can use the new Android standard for car bluetooth streaming along with hands free calling - I really don't want or need Sat Nav or DVD playback.

Well today saw a few more modifications ordered from my local dealer Keith Price Garages, I get on with the parts supervisor there and he always gives me very good discounts.

The first being the 'waist' rear hatch spoiler, these are I suppose a little 'marmite' but I like them.

The second being a set of wind deflectors, I have had them on all my other Impreza and they have worked well.

I think that is enough for this week anyway.

I'd never fit a spoiler or anything else which attaches to the exterior of any car without it be attached via fastenings of some description.

Bonding any exterior fitment onto any car is just asking for trouble.

If you use something like Sikaflex it won't come off, it's what they glue campers, caravans and boats together with!

Rear spoiler on my VW T5 is stuck on with it and it's not going anywhere.

No automotive manufacturer just bonds exterior fitment parts to their vehicles for a very good reason, if they were to come off they'd be liable for damages and the car wouldn't pass type approval.

Yes they may well be bonded but they will also have some form of fasteners holding them on as well.

Any exterior fitment part that has to be bonded on but not fastened on will have a disclaimer in its fitment instructions, or actually on the item which states something along the lines of 'not for road use' or possibly 'motorsport use only'.

I'm not saying that Sikaflex or any other bonding agent aren't any good but I've seen what happens when a bonded spoiler came away from the car it was fitted on.

The commodity code for importing is 8708109000

ask them to put it on the box. They didn't with mine, but did put it on the invoice.

I had skirts and front and rear valance bonded onto my classic and never had a problem, if its done right its a lot stronger than any self tappers or fasteners. You would be surprised by the power of adhesion!
