Don't won't to get all techie IT, but yes the Ipod or phone will need to be jailbroken (unlocked) to allow 3rd party apps to be installed. Then you need to install an app called "ScreenSplitr" which allows screen mirroring from the ipod dock connector using the apple A/V cable. So then anything your iphone or ipod displays your Sat/Nav does too!
I don't have any spare cash at the minute for new toys, so it will be some time before my gauges move. Thought I would share my idea so some of you could have a go
Going to Iain next month, cos I have an 09 chassis, stiffer rarb and geo, and possibly if it needs it, revalve of the power steering to put more weight on.

Like it alot i wouldn't mind finding out to unlock my screen for when the car is moving but i couldn't work out how to do it.
If it was on handbrake very simple but its speed sensing :-(
I feel your pain, I want some cleaver bod to figure this one out too. I looked on the american sites, including the link from SD, but ours as you say are speed sensing, above 5mph it appears. I had all mine apart to look at and deffo no handbrake connection.
Nice job silver demon, what your doing is very interesting and looks like a cool toy I for one would love more updates as you play with the system and get it running

Im tempted by this:
Fast Road Pack - £295
Up-rated rear anti roll bar
Revised steering feel
4 Wheel laser alignment with fast road settings
Also thinking of the Remap and CAI from litch
Using my prodrive exhuast Ian reckons it should still hit around 350-355
Hey Jim
I too was looking at this for my 330S. I spoke to Ian at Litch this week. Unlike some others he recommended only changing the rear ARB as doing the front as well they found brought back some of the understeer. Probably a tricky one tho as it's down to people opinions, and not everyones the same
Sounds like the positive traction kit is a must tho!!
In the end I have decided to fit the the rear ARB (whiteline 22mm Adj) and positive traction kit myself and save on the labour. These should be quite simple jobs which I have done on other cars before. So I have the bits on order. Also getting the ARB mount brace bars (with the ARB) and a front strut brace.
Then I was going to fit the prodrive springs, leave them to settle for a few weeks and then head over to Litch for the wheel geo and the steering mod and powerflex anti lift kit. May be tempted by a Cossi pannel filter too
Does this sound sensible??
350-355 sounds like a nice step up in power. Not too greedy and should be nice and reliable. I will be interested to hear how you get on with this if you go ahead with it
I am currently making a new exhaust for mine from the cat back. Going up to 2.5" x 20swg tube all the way through instead of 60mm from the cat pipe back. Also making a silencer with centre entry and then just one perf bend inside. I already took the resonator out but it just isn't quite loud enough, so hoping my new box will do it. I don't want it to be silly loud or even quite loud just a little more than standard so you can hear it inside the cabbin better. I think the milltek one seems ok in the video I've heard and this is what I have based mine on.
I could make jigs off mine and reproduce them for people on here if anyone is interested?? I'll post some pics if anyone is interested. Could even do a bit of a build thread if anyone fancies?? (by the way I am an actual motorsport exhaust fabricator and not just someone who is going to cut up my metal rubbish bin for the silencer and use guttering downpipe for the tube )
Cheers
Ben
PS Are the 08-09 sti Prodrive springs out yet?? I cant find anywhere that lists them for sale or any info on whether they are available yet??

That sounds to be pretty much what I've decided on (apart from the fact that I'm a mechanical fool) so will be getting a professional to fit the ARB annd Powerflex bushes and help me set it up.
Not sure about a front strut brace yet, but will see what the rear ARB does for me before I go any further.
Am liking the look of the Kiwi a lot, but as I have the standard head unit would need to find a place to mount the iphone.
Whilst I'm here, did anyone else make the mistake fof speccing the Subaru Bluetooth kit? It is pretty poor - voice quality is awful and the single control switch makes it very hard to use as it is so slow to respond.
Am thinking that a Parrot is the way to go, unless someone like SD can recommend a cunning bit of kit that will do a better job?

Yes totally agree. Voice quality is very poor. I find that if you select tone level 3 that is about as good as it gets.

Haven't got the Subaru mic installed as its expensive just for a mic.

Not had the head unit out yet so I hope mine is like the US one's. If not its going to knacker my plans
