I am interested. I need to check if I could get down then. You might not want my car on stand tho'. I am waiting to get my parking sensors painted silver to match the car. They were faulty and came with the car. I wish I hadn't bothered getting them replaced. Pain in the.... Plus my wife kerbed the rear off-side wheel.
It would be great to see other hatchbacks. I saw another silver one in Inverness. I waved and he glared back.

By the way. I am very pleased with the PPP. I went for a drive on some B roads and the cross country pace is prodigious. The springs were worth every penny. There is that nagging worry about the ARB's and bushes. Should I just do the rear arb and what bushes. Also, where in Scotland can I get this and the geo done?

It makes the car feel a lot more stable at 'higher' speeds, when I first had the car it was very twitchy to the point where it was a bit un-nerving. since the mod confidence has been restored

Cool So why Deisel power !!!

Collected it today from Stan Palmers at Carlisle

What a top bloke Ian Armstrong is customer service is top class and a great deal too

Sad to see the Octavia go but sometimes you have to move upwards

I was going to go the 330 route but couldn't bear to part with the greewagon and didn't really want 3 cars at the moment so decided the Octavia was to be replaced

I do 12-15k per year in the Octavia and wanted a car with 50MPG and looks the part again

One thirsty scoob is enough but two means I would always be looking at the pennys and actually I love the way Diesels drive and of course when I m looking at 500 per tank instead of 250 it mounts up my running costs

Road tax at £150 instead of £400 ##

Insurance at only £210 instead of £400 + ##

Servicing every 12000 miles at £200 aprox instead of STi £500 + ?
and no cambelt to change every 3 years at £350 ish ##

So now I think Ive got the best of both worlds a classic and a new age modern hatchback with sensible running costs ##

Filled it up tonight and I will be doing regular reports on fuel costs for those that want to go the 2 scooby route

done only 25 miles tonight in it but early reports are it really does go ""

typical Deisel lag unill it picks up and the torque is amazing

loads more fun to drive over the Octavia which was a really great car #

equipment level are great ,headlamps are super ,heated seats nice, and everything else electric

I think I made the right colour choice with Blue and 18'' GT1 wheels and black tinted glass it does look fab and is tradional subaru colours in my eyes

Of course there will be a few more bits to add to it as the bank account starts to go back up again

Gahhhhhhhhhhh, just found my first paint chip and scratch (hopefully will polish out, PB here I come).

On the audio front I have just pulled my unit out. Its a non nav unit made by Clarion in 2008. I do have a 20 pin (2x 10) empty connector on the back, but thats it. Going to have to find out if the USA model will fit and work now.

2.5 WRX = 230 ps
2.5 WRXS - 255 ps

And the Diesels (I am including them as they are wrx's with different engines)

2.0 D RC and RX 150 ps (147 bhp) and 258 ft/lb torque.

It must have been. I drove it into my garage to measure the difference again. there was a nasty sounding clunk and vibration through the spring. When I measured the ride height again, it had dropped 3cm on the right. Was a bit worried phoned a few people to get mechanic to the car. the said it looks Ok. Feels great now. Going to take somewhere else to get it checked out. So I still have black parking sensors and no CD changer. I have also noticed the rear bumper is not seated properly since it was in. So, something else to get sorted.
BUT, I forget about it all when I drive it. PPP + prodrive springs = .

I am going to the Isle of Lewis in July but no super unleaded on the island. I would like to take the subaru but am worried after reading the bad news thread.

Ha! I spent last night explaining to the Mrs why the car sounds louder and is alot more responsive when you put your foot down. Just bedazzled her with the science of the exhaust getting a build up of carbon and the hot weather effecting the note of the exhaust. And the Subaru reflash must of changed the way the car drives. Told her I will get someone to look at it, that'll be my springs getting done then..
Couldnt tell her the car only different after a visit to Tracktive Solutions

What they dont know wont hurt 'em!!!

No need to form a list for the arena , there will be 6 MY08 or MY09 Subarus on the Cumbrian Scoobs stand anyway now that Lordy has his new toy

And as CS are the organisers of the NBO it has been decided to tell the club stand judges that for this year to help promote Subaru sales every club stand gets an extra 1000 points for every MY08 or later hatchback on the stand and 2000 points deducted for every car on the stand that is over ten years old. This leads on to NBO8 when we will have the official "Subaru scrappage area" sponsored by IMG .
