Project 2015 STi rear under spoiler
Thanks for all the positive comments.
Liked the look of the STi rear underspoiler offered for the new 2015 car
so, given the similarity between the models decided to get one and see if it fitted
As supplied, currently only available AFAIK in the US and Australia:-
Bumper cover and beam off for test fit ....
..........to find that brackets foul the bodywork as arrowed.
Following some slight bending and panel beating, brackets clear of bodywork
After test fit with bumper beam back in place the mount brackets required some slight modification to fit
Bumper back on and test fit shows wing to be close to bottom edge of bumper.......
..........however as I have an HT Auto rear diffuser I wanted to use the two together, so made up some lowering brackets so that it would sit below it .........
Silver wing not to my liking or matching my theme so now satin black to match the rest of the bottomline kit
(with genuine white STi sticker )

Lovely car, I like your choice to go for OEM STi parts rather than most others, it goes to show that you can have a delightful looking Impreza without the need of lots of aftermarket parts
Have you thought of a roof vane spoiler, such as the ones on the hawkeyes? I haven't seen it done before so may be a bit of overkill or not? The only thing I would add to the cosmetics would be a Spec-C roof flap; if you are into those things
Regards,
Subaru Collector 555.

Was after something different to the usual Rota/Inovite route and these gave a better ET "fit" for what I wanted.
They should do, the ET48 (OEM wheels ET55) fill the arches more on the MY11 model.
You need to be sitting down for this
I got mine via the Swss European dealer as the postage was far far cheaper than shipping in from the States or Japan direct.
They were also "out of stock" in Japan when I ordered, so had to wait.

The SSR GT range...................

The F01 forged version was out of my price bracket

Since fitting them, I've never been happy about the way the rear Chargespeed bottom line pieces just "ended" without blending into anything, so have made a few changes since Trax.
As before..........
Now................
Have "upgraded" to a Liberal Auto full width diffuser and amazingly the underspoiler remains at the same height.
OPTICAL ILLUSION: Any difference in shape of the parts running under the exhausts is due to the photo angle and the various compound curves involved
Also did a DEPO LED rear light upgrade as well
Diffuser arrived as an FRP kit which need a certain amount of work to sort out the separate vanes on the rear bumper attached section.
It also need modding to accommodate the underspoiler mounts............
Diffuser images below show the VERY expensive Carbon finished version
Manage to get it all done for RallyDay............

"Liberal Auto" full width rear diffuser currently off for repair and repaint. (A loose "bolted down" speed hump made contact with the underspoiler.
Should be back on for Japfest
The MY15 STi rear underspoiler now residing on Mr Ostle's (rob84) new car

Those speed bumps are a nightmare, I'd be tempted to contact the council and make a claim, I did years ago and they paid out pretty quickly!
Sorry I actually meant the old narrower diffuser before the full width, but now I'm on a pc I can see it was the HTautos one.

Went out in her today expecting the placebo effect but am amazed at the improved steering input in both wet and dry conditions.
Thought it was good before but it's now much firmer and positive, any hint of slackness has been removed.
May have to look at the flexible rear subframe supports.................

What a fantastic car. A real credit to you.

Available via Japanparts (make sure you're seated when checking the prices )
Rear flexible mounts
https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/39181
Flexible stiffeners seem to only be listed as part of the Performance Package at the moment (Original Japanparts part number 1008P STi 020-005 / STi part number ST20118ZR000 )
OR
Surprisingly ICP can supply both
