Default What I replaced my WR1 with.......

Sold my WR1 about 5 weeks ago now and had the cash in the bank waiting for the right car to come along.

Last friday it came along in the shape of this Spec C and after much deliberating and a umming and ahhing it was sat on my drive a few hours later.

I have a front splitter and mud flaps to add to it and its booked in for a full service, rolling road and mapping session at RCM in 2 weeks time.

Just a few pics:

Lovely motors Spec-C`s, Got one myself, Out of interest what coilovers are they?

Just a bit of advice not a critisism, I would lose the Induction kit and replace it with the standard airbox then get the Map checked, Other than that

Gaz.

You cannot compare a lesser car to a Spec C

Huzzy, note that the writing on the roof vent states that your not to open the flap above 80kmh (or 50mph in our terms), its advisable to follow this advice
have fun, these are great cars, get RCM to go over it with a fine tooth comb

Yeah I believe it was imported by KTC but I bought it from a garage down South. When I had a look at the car and saw Keighley Trade Centre on the bottom of the number plates I really didn't want to look at it anymore.

As I looked and looked at the car I really couldn't see anything wrong with it. I mean, I know KTC have a horrendous reputation but surely all cars they sell can't be that bad or surely they wouldn't be in business? Anyway, to cut a long story short and after having it checked over I took a punt on it. Really glad I have as it is an awesome car. It's off to RCM for a few days in 2 weeks time for a money no object service as it's only a weekend car I want it 100% spot on. It's also going on the rollers and being mapped as a precaution. I'm sure RCM will do it justice!

As for how does it compare to the WR1? Well, I would say that the WR1 was quite brutal between 0 to 60, but the Spec C seems more refined, quite how I don't know but it seems like it's easier to drive but the Twin-scroll really does have a lot to give which was evident yesterday morning when I took it for a spirited drive around some nice Buckinghamshire B roads! All in all I am happy that I swapped the WR1 for the Spec C.
