Just to add, I would love a 996 TT, but surely if you wanted a Nurburgring toy, you would buy a 996 GT3, arguably a better car for track work than the TT, or if this just an itch you needed to scratch?
I am jealous though, but happy with my own Porsche. I think I would buy a 993biturbo if I ever went down that road, aircooled FTW!
beef Its running 525bhp 487ft trq 2x x50 turbos with a full samco kit,Full twin milltek exhaust 20" inch bbs rims with 305 rubber ,Full gt3 suspension and alignment.
The brakes are amazing ,The four-piston monobloc aluminum fixed caliper brakes at front and back with 330 mm cross drilled internally vented discs, four channel ABS and a 10" vacuum brake booster.
Proper porsche ?The new gt3 rs is watercooled and on both its high performance (racing) engines its water cooled lol strange that hey. I agree the old 1994 water cooled wasn't to good but with the new technology on the 996 there is no issue the oil coolers do most of the work now a days.

Yes, it is a 3.6 Turbo2 - circa £50k + for a good one & that is if you can actually find one. I think there were only 300 odd made world wide.
Yes, you could have a couple of 996 TT's for the same money, but I'd rather have that 964 any day of the week. 996's seem to be going down in price quite badly, IMS, RMS issues, poorer build quality than the older cars. The aircooled stuff was hand built when Porsche were not run by bean counters & the cars were not built to a price. I don't dislike 996's or 997's, quite the contrary infact!

1994 & water cooling.... 993's were air cooled, running from '94 - '97/98

lololol indeed...
I don't dispute that the 996 is a good car & an evolution on from the 993, but a lot of purists would not be seen dead in a kettle porka. Me, I'd drive a 997 as a daily driver, infact I'll probably be chopping my 135 in for one next year, not a turbo though, a C2S probably.

I agree with Trout, would look better without the RS graphics though.
Glad you are happy with your purchase, should be a fun car!
