Yep, for that price, it's pretty much a track machine (not to the degree of the Elise however). I just don't think I'm hard core enough to live with it as the only daily driver, otherwise I would gotten that instead of the RS back in 2000.
Hey Sunny, you'd be proud. Joe Cheng posted his impressions of test driving the SMART car, to which I replied with my impressions from when I drove one a few years ago.
What exactally was your impression? I had a friend who drove one of the first generation ones and he thought it was the worst automotive experience he ever had. Underpowered with tipsy handling. Apparently MB fixed both of those problems.
Holy freakin crap!! I didn't get a chance to wave at a bunch of GCs and GDs I don't even know cuz I was picking my nose when I was driving, therefore, I have to post it on the board to let you know!! I'm so sorry!!

Hi HO. I had a colleage get pissed off at me because I didn't help him put a copy of some marks software on disk as well as his data files on disk because he didn't know how to.
He couldn't log into the school network because the username said "administrator" and he didn't know how to change it.
I spent about 10-15 mins a few days ago after school practicing logging-in and logging-out. When I become an old fart-of-a-teacher and I say that I don't want to learn anything new, then shoot me. I don't deserve to be a teacher IMO.
His excuse - he's a "mac" guy, not a "pc" guy. I said straight-up to him, this has nothing to do with Mac or PC. It's a computer thing.
ARGH. Stoopid people make me go crazee.
At least my students know how to log in. I only need to show them once and away they go.

No, you DON'T owe me an MP3 player. I OWE you $140 for the MP3 player you OWN! I think I've OW3D you by now by making the correction!
Unfortunately, the Yungs won't be at the Yung household. We'll be at church till the wee hour of oh, around 9-10pmish. Nerco - you can drop by there if you're comming back from the YOU-BAY-CEE - it's on the corner of Main & 18th. It's right behind a Vietnamese restaurant. My church's name is the Vancouver Chinese Pentecostal Church. I'll be downstairs in the basement making pizza and watching some movie with a bunch of kids. There's some stuff going on upstairs, so you can just bypass them and go downstairs.
My car won't be @ church so don't bother looking for it there. I'm taking the bus downtown to hook up with Reen.
Gimmie a call on the 604-M0E-FIX-1 line if ya need to!
Guys, remember the too-much-money-with-too-little-sense Lexus owning friend I have? Well, he's came to the decision to fix up his car and sell it (and OMFG what bad shape it's in, even though the car was already a bit rough). At any rate, he *thinks* he wants to get a WRX. Yay! But, would you want to suggest the auto or manual to him? Personally, I would think (given my limited experience w/ Subaru autos) is that the response of the slowpoke auto, 4 gears, laggy turbo and a small engine will be somewhat of a PITA. On the other hand, it's not like Subaru's 5sp is known for abuse, and, well, this guy doesn't exactally take care of his car. God knows what's gonna break before he finally understands how to drive a manual?
Which also brings up another question- considering that some of our Subarus haven't exactally stood up to abuse (or lack thereof), and this guy isn't known for taking care of cars, is a Subaru even the right car for him? He mentioned it because his gf likes it, and the gf doesn't like RSX's , which would've been my first choice for dead nuts reliability, if nothing else.
Or are Subarus simply masochistic bitches that needs to be beaten? Bruno's car seems to break less than mine, and he beats it a lot harder than I do...
The car has to be new, btw, or else there would've been a lot of other cars I would've considered.
