Hi HO.

Can I help it that my wife wanted to buy a larger TV for the upstairs than me?

Man, we're spending a lot of money today. We can soon have an i-dub meet @ my house, and you won't have to bring your own cushin!

So after a full day of mucking around, I finally got Win2K onto the new box, and I have to say it's the fastest right now unless you have things that just eat up CPUs after CPUs (my other box is a dual 1900+ vs this single 2400+)

This exercise shows that I haven't been building boxes for a long time - a full day just to get Win2K install going

I've decided to go against the surround sound system for the upstairs. I want a home theater downstairs, so I'm going to save up for the whole schebang - projector, screen, 6.1 surround sound, etc. I don't want that stuff for the upstairs living room.

We grapped a 42" Samsung rear projection TV.

This is the TV we grapped.

The TV comes in a week, and the furniture will be here in a couple weeks. We'll prob. throw a little get-together around my b-day.

Hi HO.

Okay, so the TV comes in on Sat, and the furniture will be in my house in a few weeks. Reen and I are planning a my b-day/house warming schindig on Oct 17th at around 3pmish. Just an open house - come by and snack, visit, etc. Still tentative though, but it looks pretty set.

I don't know about swaybars - I feel my car handles fairly well for the way I drive, although a tad stiffer bar would help, comes winter time on smooshy tires, it can become deadly oversteer. I'm more inclined to save my money for big power although it's time to get my front pads swapped after 2 years - I'm also thinking of 2 piece rotors when the front runs low.

I've been driving around for who knows how long now with my whiteline bar set to the stiffest. Mostly it's OK though I took a couple runs in it at the autox school on Saturday and managed to loop it. Other than that I was suprised by how I could drift the car.

Gosh, what fun it is giving DT's. Studnuts come to class, yet aren't prepared to work. They're complaining that it's too hot in here during the DT.

What a power trip.

Uh, dude, make up your mind Last time I saw you drive a scoob, it was understeer city. Didn't that black WRX wagon at the school have the same mods as you?

What did you do this time to get it sideways?

I guess I remembered you're supposed to toss scoobies, not drive them. Or maybe it's because I don't think I've checked the rear tire pressure since I got my car back from the shop.

Did I have it at 22mm last time because I think I might have set it to 22mm at the end of that day.

Not on the road man - hence I'm still running a 13mm bar in the back, and still have the dreaded power understeer at the limit.

I drive around with an 18mm bar. It's pretty good with my auto setup. I don't think I'll go any bigger though.

On the road I never get close to the limit, though even with the full stiff bar if you push too hard you'll get understeer. It's when you lift that it'll want to rotate.

Darren, I just MSN'd Jared and he hasn't heard back. I also asked him what kind of hookup I could get for a buddy and he said none. He's not even sure he can get me a deal.

Thanks for checking Thug. I really appreciate it.

As for the rest of you suckers stuck in the Lower Mainland, perhaps when the TV arrives on Sat, we should have a BBT meet and bask in the glory of the 42-inches whilst sitting on the HW floors. Sat we'll be out in the evening all day. All your respective ladies are welcome as well. We just need need to find a time where we can all get together.

And no, I'm not calling ya'll a gurly-man.

You should get the HD cable box, otherwise, what's the point of having an HDTV?

Then we can watch the Vancouver Giants PPV!! BAHAHHAHA

I don't think there's much HDTV programming around here yet. I'd consider a digital box or HDTV if I weren't still getting free cable.

Hi HO. So since Reen and I have spent a lot of money on furniture and our TV and stuff, I've decided to grap Nexen tireds. It's another up-and-comming Korean brand, but for about $100/tire, I'm going to grap them. Not much info about them on the 'net, so I guess I'll post my feelings on them. They're a competitor to the Kumhos, and I believe the N3000 (which I'm grapping), is in competition with the 712's. I'm not expecting anything like my Toyo's, but right now I think it's my best choice/$.

I miss my car.
