Whatever, it's only a drop in the bucket anyways...
speaking of a drop in the bucket, once upon a time we were thinking about getting some ML500s with our budget seeing that we had something like millions and one of those cost less than one big Cisco Cat, with the numbering and what not, we thought we just might be able to slip by finance

LOL. Good luck not spilling the coffee.

Maybe a rear glass off a fastback like the 240 or 300ZX. I think they have pretty flat glasses.

Daren Why don't you buy Toyos T1S for sale from Ont. for $600 he's asking now. His asking price was originally way too high but $600 for practically brand new tires is a steal. Say $650 including shipping or something.

Hey Sunny, sounds like Fuzz may follow you to Toronto for a year. He's asking what to do about storage for the twin turbo because insurance there is too high. I said I'd take good care of it for him.

Hi HO.

Tomorrow is a professional day for me. I'm going downtown to the Canadian Business Centre to check it out with my colleagues. We're in the Business Ed department of course!

LaterZ!

What. The. F*ck.

What's he doing in TO? And what the hell, if he can afford the TT, he can afford the insurance. There's no reason not to take it to Mosport or Mt. Tremblant.

On a second thought, I'm probably safe. Andre is still here I think, and Jared said something about Fuzz making some comments about Andre. Besides, Fuzz doesn't know I'm in TO right?

Yeah, though $9,000 for insurance does seem a bit excessive.

Mirage, are you still coming by to pick up your tickets?
Alternatively, you can just pick it up tommorow night at the location. I can give you Sofia's cell phone so you can call her when you get there.

I dunno. I did some online price quotes (which seems to be on the high side from what Jeff was telling me), and my quotes were something like 10k for the NSX, 8-9k for Supra/944T, 7(!)k for MR2T, 6k for MR2/Miata. Well, dammit, so much for trying to pick up one of those mid 20k US 993/NSX's when I grad. I hope the S2k/E46M3 will be better, but I have a feeling I'm gonna have to get a bathtub full of KY first...

I'm telling ya man, heart surgeons in Ontario must've been making a killing from people getting heart attacks when they received their insurance quotes.

Yikes. $9k for insurance? That's super crazy! Makes my $1600 pleasure-use only insurance look cheap.

Yeah, but look at the performance difference though

Stock exotic car is good for one thing - it's stock, and with those things, the maintenance is hell anyway, stock or modded. Might as well go cheap and mod the hell out of a car. I don't feel the worth of paying the engineers when the running cost is so much higher

Bahaha, Penphoe pays more insurance than I do.

Pretty sure my insurance is under $1500, maybe even $1400? I forget.

I'm paying close to 2200 (35% discount, 200 collision, 300 comprehensive, under-insured motorist protection, 2000 for audio, 35+ KM for work @ Delta)

Huh? From what I've gathered, the 993 line isn't a maintanence nightmare. It just cost more, but it cost more because 1) the parts are more expensive, 2) it takes more of it (more tire, more oil, etc).

I'd rather take a 993 with suspension mods and just not worry about it than some I'm gonna blow up today car (i.e. highly modded RX7's)

I got ~$2900-3000 25%/30% including 10yrs driver's discount. Only $600 difference between the old RS and partially that's because I have replacement cost ~$350 for that.

I hate slow drivers in the fast lane that sees me coming up fast behind them, they keeps it slow with the guy next to him, and then as I change lanes, they speed up and do too just get in front of the guy that's in front of me. Oh and I know they do that on purpose.

Those ppl should be shot.. and I'll do the shooting myself.

I swear, eveyrtime I wanna just drive "normal" and "calm," I can't. I swear, it just isn't possible with so many fidiots around me.

I dont know if I'd be scared or hilarious riding in your car. I remember laughing yet feeling scared of being crushed by that 18-wheeler riding in Wu's car on the way back from that rallycross when he got all mad at the semi that wouldn't pull over, or the guy that wouldn't pass the semi... i forget which way it was.

I had a bus try to completely run me off the road on my way back from either T-bird rally or the rallyx. I forget which, but he was hogging the fast lane (had cut me off to get in the fast lane in the first place) and I gave him tons of time to pull over after he passed the car in the slower lane. Anyhow, I finally pull into the slow lane to pass and he finally decides to change into the slow lane and I have to drive onto the shoulder and flashed my lights at him. That's pretty much the only time I really got worried I was going to get run off the road. I've had a couple other times that scared the crap out of my passengers but mainly I was cutting it close in the hope that the other person would pay more attention next time.

Oh, and I've seen first hand that Wu has nasty road rage. Me on the other hand, I stay calm but find a way to get the hell past them.

On Wednesday nite, Reen and dropped off one of our friends at her place in her back lane. I'm headed east in this back lane. As I approach the corner of the back lane to get back onto Slocan, a Volvo makes a left turn from Slocan into the lane. Here's where this guy is the idiot.

#1) He was in the WRONG SIDE OF THE STREET when he was on Slocan. He was facing north, but in the SOUTHBOUND SIDE!!!
#2) He does not signal to make his left turn into the lane. If I didn't stop early before the corner, he would have hit me!!!!!! Good thing I wasn't going very fast.
#3) He blocks me from making my left turn. Granted, technically he has "right-of-way", but heck, we just sat there for like a minute. I was waiting for him to move so I can make my left turn.
#4) Since I can't turn because he's blocking me, HE PULLS HIS NOSE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME FORCING ME TO BACK UP!!!!! Irene says I should have honked, but this was late at nite and I didn't want to disturb the peace.

Idiot.
