LOL, 8million yen for a Mustang. I'd rather shoot myself.

The Altezzas are tempting. I wish Toyota had brought that car over to play in the TSX market a few years earlier.

Ok, I finally got my linksys router and PCs configured to use WPA. It went OK except that it turns out the first laptop I tried to configure needed a driver update... Luckily, even though eMachines suck for update drivers, HP doesn't and uses the same NIC.

I guess now it's time to hack the router.

Thug - did you grap the Linksys WRT54GL? If so, go and grap the DD-WRT firmware for it. It rawks!

Phoe-man - thanks for the stuff, my xboxen is working again. I actually only needed your MechAssault disc. Apparently I already had the savegame on my recovery CD that I had made (and forgot about) when I first modded my xbox. I did still need to crack it open again and do the boot swap in order to get the dash back working, but I'm actually quite good at it now. I just have to reassemble the xbox and my desktop now... my home office is a mess, guess that's what happens when the missus is not around.

Question to people with Hawk pads. I went to PDM to get some new pads, but Don couldn't tell me which ones are the correct ones for my car (MY01 coupe). Apparently there are 2 types, and even after checking Hawk's website, neither of us could figure out which one is the correct one. In the end I just took the HB352F's because he didn't have the HB424F. Does anyone know which one is the correct one? Searches on the Intar web haven't turned up much. (I have stock rotor and calipers, and I'll probably keep them for now).

Thanks!

OMFG! Those wagons are beautiful! The black rex looks more like a charcoal grey.

Ooh I'd love to get a JDM waist spoiler...

Er, ok guys, my computer is possessed.

It was constantly slowing down to the point where I thought it was trying to move a continent, so I rebooted, rebooted, and rebooted. Now I've lost the program icons when I minimize them (i.e. they don't go into the toolbar). And when I opened Firefox, I've lost all previous history without even clearing it myself. Did I just picked up something bad in the afternoon?

fuz - nice foto! Whtere'd you grap it?

cachan - glad to hear that you got your xbox back up and running, so if my two boxes loose power, I can call you for help! Good luck with the brake pads.

-S- sounds like you got some bad malware on it. Are you running any type of antivirus on it?

Hi HO! I'm well on my way to getting an apartment.. and had a helluva long day at work today. This is going to take some getting used to, not having any free time between 7am-8pm...

Would you all like to see a picture of an octopus on a woman's backside?

Oh and by the way, those cars look really nice and reasonably priced, but the thing is in Japan, the amount is almost a 100% write-off. Dealers won't give you much for a used car, and it's really hard to do a private sale (although I pulled it off with the Sera, that's a special case I think).

This makes it really hard for me to justify dropping $10K on a used Subaru. That's practically my entire savings. I might have to get by with a beater for a while until I can save up the cash. In that sense, the Sera was a really sensible car financially. Hmmm... something to think about...

Yeah, but aren't you planning on importing that car back to Canada anyways?

I can see how parting out a GC STi makes money - accidents are nothing since the chassis is thrown away, and you take whatever you can get out of that car and sell them individually. Too bad labour kills any swap....

'phoe - the $800 external DVD writer was about 5-6 years back when they first came out. I don't think I ever got that my utility out of it for the $800 I paid

Yeah, I've done that. I was running some tests though, and I think performance is worse than my old router, at least when it comes to my media center. I don't know if it's the cheapo $10 wireless NIC, but under stress it seems to slow down.

Maybe I should try turning off Afterburner since I read it actually slows down clients that don't support it. I was also wondering if WAP-PSK is responsible, but it sounds like it shouldn't make much difference compared to WEP.

Darren, I have Nortons and a firewall, plus I didn't download anything lately.

Joe, I was looking at the site and there's plenty of cheap sporty cars if you aren't so set on a Subaru. I mean, you gotta occasionally change your flava right? At any rate, depending on your POV, $10k for a GC STi isn't bad since a GC RS probably still cost that much and is worlds slower.

As Joe says, he would have no hopes of getting rid of it once he gets it, and $10K is quite a bit for a car in his position. I sense that he probably want to get something that is essentially disposable and once the income starts rolling in, then think about the STis and others

Joe just needs to stay over there long enough that it becomes possible to bring it back with him.

WERD! Or find an old STi V1 or 2 and buy that, and then bring that over. Then again, you could always ship a V5 over, and keep it on blocks (at my house of course) till it's ripe enough to drive around in Vancouver! I"ll be sure to take good care of her...

Thug - did you try to overclock your 54GL? Also, check the load average values on the main system info page? Take a look-see what the loads are when your bittorrenting, web browsing, streaming media, etc.

KGB - I do have the scope now with me in Burnaby. Are you in a hurry?

Anyone know much about carbon fiber hoods? I am looking to order one in the next few days and wonder if they are compatible with the stock latch. Any idea's on price vs. quality locally?
