Johnny's shop on Marine. The other small tidbit is if there's a warranty claim on it, I guess kgb and I have to deal with the USA instead of Canada. And ICBC claims will go by USA pricing of course if they ever have to reimburse you on tires.
Well the car is sold - however the paperwork still needs to be done thanks to stupid Aircare. They charged $50 to essentially hookup my car to a machine to read from the OBD-II port. They don't even drive it anymore. $50 for 30 seconds of work...
KY. I told the guy that i knew somebody interested in the swapping the snow tires for all seasons. He's not yet sure whether or not he wants to keep the snows. If you want I'll put you in touch with him and you can see if you two can work out a deal. I was sick and really busy at work so I didn't have time to follow up with you, sorry!
I concluded that the fee they charge you when you mount tires is not tire levy at all - it's the cost to dispose the tires for you. Technically speaking, if you said to them you will dispose the tires yourself, there is no "levy", and it's free when you dispose it at the recycler. The "fee" is for them to drive the tires out to the recycler and dispose them.
I knew warranty claims would have been against the US side, but with the crazy list price you could have just bought another 2 tireo from TireRack and still come out of ahead. Friggin' money grabbers

And yes, AirCare is the money grab to confirm you didn't lie to yourself and actually don't have the CEL on. But then if that means I can get away modding and still have the ECU says OK, I'm all good as well
I'm very tempted to get a price match @ FS, coupled with the remaining balance of $60 on my gift card, leaves a very reasonably priced DSLR. The image stabilization on the Sony is done via shifting the CCD around, rather than inside the lens with the Nikons and Canons.
So looking @ Blacks site this morning, and the Sony A200 is now @ $470 for the body plus the 18-70mm lens! The only thing cheaper was the Black's sale on the A200 with 2 lenses @ $570!
Petter - which Nikon do you have? What lens do you use to shoot Seb & the family with?
Hey Joe, you've got a notice to renew your mailbox @ MBP which is due 2008.06.05. After that, you pay a five dollar penalty. Hannon said to call her after 5pm Pacific if you'd like to extend your mailbox. They close at 6pm.

Reason: Luke, use the CTRL key when pressing "2"
They are only on two of them, yet I have the same type of brake pads on all 4 corners. I'm not sure what to do about it. They look hideous.
Btw, I just remembered Volco tires in Coquitlam where Stephen (Firewire) and I did a swap, they charged me only $67 tax in for m+b.
Which tires did you and KFC end up getting? I was gonna get new tires with you guys but my sudden stopping of AutoX made it useless for me to get the set of tires I really wanted to try this time - the RE01-R.
I still have whatever's left of my RT-615's to finish off at my first track day this coming Friday. I went to Advance for an alignment to tune everything down to make it as safe as possible.

Hey Cachan, no worries on the tires. Since we last chatted I was thinking if the rubber is from 2004, it might be better if I hold off and get a new set next time DiscountTireDirect has one of their $50 or $100 discounts. Thanks for the followup though.
Btw, have you gotten your computers yet?

is that the inside of the rim, or outside? Just looks like finish coming off from road debris to me.
I got the F1 Assymetric 225/45/17's. So far so good. Maybe a bit more quiet than RE-070's. So far, they still feel slippery until I wear out the top layer.
Wet ground today and probably haven't worn off the protecting layer. I haven't been pushing my car to tell the difference but then I'm using the same tires as last time. The Asymmetric looked wide enough to give GC problems - I really wanted the Asymmetric, just didn't want to risk trying to fit 225s. They were definitely 1cm wider than my 215 since both our tires are Goodyears.
KY - looks like the clear coat peeled. Never happened on my own rim, only on the ones that I bought used from the states (I managed to pick one that has less peeling to use this time around). I have only used the stock 4pot pads, Carbotech Bobcat, and Hawk HPS for the life of my rim and never seen it. Always clean the rims before they go into storage during the winters until this last winter. Very hideous I agree but I had no choice if I were to keep my SSR. Ideally if I could get some 17x8 high offset rims (relatively) that could fit 225s in GC I would do that - rears tend to give the most trouble.

Polished lips don't seem to last. I think I started to get a bit of that on one or two of my subzeros. I think it's most likely an issue with any polished lip because of them not being able to prep the wheel that well before painting (i.e. can't use any strong cleaners etc which might etch the finish, nor use any good primer.) Not to mention I think it might be the wheel coroding slightly under the paint in which case you wouldn't see it if it wasn't clear coated.
That doesn't explain why it's only happening to two of them though.

You're done AutoXing?
KFC - Launch hard at every light and you can wear that top layer off in no time
What is Carbotech Bobcat? It started happening after I put on HP+. Maybe its because the fronts got a lot more brakedust than the rear but I still find that hard to believe it'd peel the fronts first.
You can roll your fenders if you really want 225's, and then stand up the rears so the tire clears the struts.
I'm done AutoXing for now.. It was fun but I found I like moving-around hobbies as well like softball and badminton.
no, it just means you park in the same location multiple times so the wheel orientation is different everytime and the dog(s) just come and piss on the bottom. Eventually, it evenly covers the whole wheel.
Carbotech Bobcats are supposingly some clean pads that I don't find very clean. I'm using HPS, not HP+ so that makes a difference, and I only use them because I could get them from PDM quite easily.
When you mean standing up the rears, you mean running low to no camber? I think my GS-D3 215 already rubs the fender even with the fender strip out (just painted metal), and the 225 Asymmetric looked wide enough when I stacked them against the GS-D3 to make me worry - you might actually need to pull the fender, not just roll it. I guess you run 225 RT615 or 215?
I use 215/45R17 for my 615's with the rubber strips removed. I have it somewhat rolled and made it possible to stand up the rears, little to no neg camber. But then again I had to raise my car a bit for that to happen.
I was thinkin of your tires rubbing against the strut actually. There was a time when I had little to no neg camber that I had less than 1/4" between the strut and the tire.

Finally got my hands on my new deck and good thing Kenwood didn't change the plug which means I can just plug in my old harness, only loosing the ability to remotely mute the unit as well as some other external control that I don't really use - so far the clarity is certainly there so if you count the placebo effect, it does sound 100x better even on stock speakers
