So what's goin' on now, are you coming here, then going back to work, and then coming back in Aug, and then going back again?
Furiously running around, but I'm just too short on time prior to the departure to Canada on July 19. Looks like my dreams of using my once-in-a-lifetime import opportunity to bring in a 22B and a Japanese toilet seat are not going to come to fruition. If you guys want anything, though, do let me know. I can put it on the manifest of personal effects when I immigrate and it can arrive later.
Will probably fly to Silicon Valley for a week in early August or so. Then returning to Japan right after the KFC wedding. I had my interview with you bee see this morning about teaching for the fall term, but it looks like competition is pretty stiff with lots of people being laid off from the colleges. If I get the job I'm going to have to be back right away; if not, I may stay a bit longer in Tokyo until my money, health, or sanity runs out, whichever comes first.
I'm really worried about the car. If I take it to Proline as soon as I get back, I'm going to have to worry about a rental and such. If one of you guys (or anybody you know; I'm willing to pay someone to do this) would be willing to drop it off at Proline this week or next, I will arrange insurance and stuff in advance and try to make life as easy as possible... anybody willing to do me a big favour? Hehehe
(thanks KGB for the earlier offer, I totally understand that you were busy, though, of course!)
P.S., I have a goatee now.

Joe - I may be able to take your car up to Proline next week, as Mackenzie will be in daycare for a few days a week and I can get my parnets to watch Nathan.
You wouldn't be in an area close to where they sell used Minolta lenses, would you? If it's out of the way no worries, but if it's just a few blocks away...
Car started up fine - you just need to bypass the alarm because I never got the responder to work. I can't remember if I got a new battery for that as well. The bypass button was unscrewed from the panels so you would have to look for it. Oh and make sure the gate responder works or else you would be stuck in the garage. I did have a new battery for that one in December

Good to know. I'll see if I can get the alarm key fob to work.
So did you put a new battery in for the remote garage door fob?
