uprated fuel pump..hks headers..hks induction kit..forge dump valve..full magnex exhaust with no cats..hks ecu and re-map and yes, that's it. It made 400 at the fly wheel, 300 at the wheels and 375 torque. This is a 2005 STI which standard I think only has 285 bhp. The only way to get more power now is a slightly bigger turbo, better airflow meter as mine was max'd out and a front mount intercooler, said i should see easily 450. Thinking of getting that done but don't really want to burn the candles at both ends. Abbey motorsport is something else, they only normaly specialise in skyline's. I went out in a R34 with 750 bhp, man that wa something else! it made me feel sick. them guys sure know their ****! So yes, it is possible to get 400 bhp out of your scooby (will update on next mods)

Some dodgy rolling roads about nowerdays
So have you changed the turbo yet or are you still running the standard unmodified vf35?

wasn't a rolling road mate, it was a dyno which bolt onto each wheel and give you a very accurate reading, you should try it mate. These are the best in the country.

Its just that a vf35 on a 2ltr lump wont flow enough to give you 400bhp, maybe 350bhp, so the dyno is a little out there.....

On a std turbo ? Not possible. Car is 265 std if its a Eurospec. What turbo do you have on ? Losses a little high at 33% imho.

cheers

they dyno 6 or 7 cars a day mate, oh forgot to mention i had to have a boost controller also which a standard sti runs at 1.5 bar of boost which gives you the sudden burst in power then backs off to 1 bar of boost. My car is running at 1.3 bar of boost continously which gives you the power all through the rev range. Abbey motorsport were recommended to me as they are tuning up skylines up to 1200 bhp. trust me, they know their **** and they have won 5 years in a row for having the fastest skyline so don't think their dyno would be out, maybe you should give them a call and let them play with your scooby

On a hub dyno too ! I'll second that.

300 at the hubs sounds possible as most of the losses are at the tyre/roller interface on conventional rollers. Usually closer to 10% losses on a hub dyno making it a more believable 330 flywheel bhp.

My car probably only produces 1.1 bar or maybe 1.2 bar, that has a slightly bigger turbo than yours and she only pushes out around 318bhp, 1.5 bar would give me around 360bhp.
I think you may have been had by abbey as their dyno seems very inaccurate and considering ive run my car on the same rolling road type (2 different rolling roads) and the figures have all been very similar (within a couple of bhp) thats more accurate

It is 100% 400 at the flywheel, you lose about 100 bhp from the flywheel to the wheel. if you're still not convinced tel Abbey motorsport on 01883 732331 and ask if there was a silver sti in on wed morn and what bhp did it make. I rest my case . Not going to argue with the rest of you chavs

think the figures are all mixed up, should think its made 300 at fly, not at the wheels

My car is running 1.5bar with more mods than that, I must be near 400 then and Type R`s are lighter.

I made 351bhp with VF35 turbo, but only with the addition of FMIC, plus Harvey's stage 2 headers and up-pipe, plus custom 3" exhaust and sports cat, plus wing-mounted induction kit, plus uprated fuel pump plus Andy F's magic ( ) mapping. That's about as far as you can take it on a VF35 - listen to the experts on here (Andy F, Bob R etc) and learn
