Just found out 1 of my former colleagues has been nicked
On Anti Terrorism charges
And it doesn't suprise me 1 bit, he was a fundimentlaist to say the least.

TO be fair, you really need to have anything resembling evidence against you to be detained under the prevention of terrorism act. In fact, you don't need to have done anything at all, you just need to be sort of thinking about it in someones opinion.

Reminds me of a situation about ten years ago when we bought a house that had just been built.
As the rest of the estate was being finished we discovered the site foreman had been arrested.
He has not only stolen plans for the Bryant houses he had stolen enough material to completely build four houses including fittings. He then bought a site and built these four houses and sold them as Bryants.
He was put away for a few years.

Ex colleague in the US got re-arrested for a double murder he committed 20 years ago. He legged it on bail and our HR dept did checks and found out. He was escorted off the premises in bracelets!!!!!!!!!

A bloke in my office got arrested at work once for importing cigarettes and selling them on the black market.
A load of C&E blokes turned up at work one morning and searched his locker, which was packed full of cigarettes as he used to sell them to people at work. He was asking to get caught really, tw@t.
Not in the same league as terrorists though....
