25k down the sh1tter but the cage did it's job and the bloke's in one piece.
All part of the fun I'd imagine.
Probably not very fun during the event though

Great crash with very clear footage too. Nice, tidy escape and his hands weren't even shaking! Well done. Surprised it fell over after what should have been a glancing sideways collision. Thoroughly enjoyed watching £25K roll to zero in 3 seconds though! Exce££ent!

Yes some on the mlr have blamed the pug driver, others have blamed norris.
At the end of the day, it's a racing incident, and it doesn't matter who was at fault aslong as everyone is ok (which they are).
Apparently norris's car hit the top of the new catch fence (15ft or so high), if they fence wasn't there, I am sure they would have been some fatalities today, as there were alot of marshals etc on the other side of the fence.

It was an avoidable accident - he only had to back off, correct the slide and then overtake. Bloke can film but he clearly can't drive.

Tip - When you've drunk a shed load of Stella watching the rugby, don't come home and post on the internet.
It was a great/unexpected result, now calm down.

No its not. I said the bloke could film, praised his escape and enjoyed the vid watching £25K go to zero. Nowt wrong with that. Why else did he put the video on the website? What's offensive is people who think any another opinion other than "Oh dear what a shame" is wrong. We all enjoyed dear old Colin wrecking his Scooby just as much as we enjoyed his winning just so long as he walked away from the wreck more or less in one piece. If he'd escaped from the chopper with the others, we'd have laughed at that too. Same thing.

Well apparently the pug shouldn't have even been on as the evo's were in a different class so someone at coombe messed up.
The pug lass is ok the car needs the following.
Its repairable.
This is a list of the bits that we think need repairing/replacing:
Needs dents taken out of the rear wing and bumper, both doors, both wings and bonnet.
Needs two new door mirrors.
New alloys and tyres?
New bodykit
One maybe Two headlights
One rear light
New rear beam
New front wish bones
New driveshaft/gearbox? (gearbox oil everywhere but haven't properly checked yet)
Think thats it so far but we shall know more on further inspection, maybe tomorrow.

Sorry stone cold sober as I don't drink, don't like football, rugby, cricket, the Olympics or Max Mosley, and I'm with Ann Robinson on Wales and Boris Johnson on Liverpool.
And if speaking your mind on this website gets you banned, so be it. Yah Boo Sux

Others agree it was avoidable - guy got the red mist and paid the price ... though from the looks of the parts list its only a few grand and if they can get the doors to open and close properly on the shell when they put it on the jig, it's probably not as bad as it looks. And I still enjoyed it!
