Just realised BT Broadband have been ripping me off and I want to change.

Thanks

i have sky broadband, just get the broadband as you still have to pay for a line rental with sky talk and get the same thing with bt without paying for it twice.

its ok sky broadband. i have the max one, although it doesnt seem as quick as virgin media.

i have got the sky talk and it is crap in my opinion, calls cost more than bt and i have trouble getting the clowns to send me an itemised bill.

i have phoned them loads of times requesting one so i can put expenses in for work after about 3 calls they send it,but the next month it all starts again.

going back to bt now until virgin is available in my area.

I have my broadband, phone line , satellite all with seperate companies. I don't beleive in putting all my eggs in one basket.

I dont want to get to the situation where, say, my sky ****s up and I am left with no telly, no phone and no boradband.

They are all OK until you have trouble. I have had a nightmnare with Orange, at least if you are with BT you have the same people with the phone lines and the service.....

Got mid package + sky talk. Pay line rental direct to BT

Sky talk does appear a little more expensive, planning to switch back to BT for calls.

Broadband - Pay £5 per month as my line can only support up to 7mb.

Usually get between 5.5-6.5 mb.

Do have occaisonal issues with the connection where the noise drops right down and it disconnects.

This page gives some details on this and other info on sky: Sky router stats (speed, noise, attenuation) explained - Sky User - The unofficial support forum for everything Sky!

I have Sky Talk and they sent a letter yesterday informing me of the good news - they are making calls to their customer services free for Sky Talk customers.

Oh, and they're also upping the 0845 rate from 2p / min daytime, 0.5p / min evening to 6p / min all day. Jolly decent of them

Ok, so Sky talk isn't all but broadband is ok with them isn't it?

I can keep phone services with BT but then have sky bb at £5/month where bt is charging me £13.99

Just yesterday changed my line rental to Sky ,at £10 per month instead of BT,s £11.75 or so .
Not had any probs with Sky package,tv ,broadband, etc .Dont use landline that much really .Think my bill will be about £82 per month for all services, sky + ,second box in daughters room ,phonecalls etc ,etc.

Although its not cheap really for a bit of TV watching and half hour on PC now and again .!!!!!!!

Ive got sky broadband, upto 8MB for £5 per month.
I usually get around 5MB, sometimes a little bit more.

No problems for me.
