Anyone (Yoza ?) know about Patek Phillipe watches ?
Or rather, fake PP watches
My neighbour who's a bit of a silly old bat has just been bragging about finding a Patek Phillipe wristwatch for £10 in a junk shop. Although finds like this are known to happen, I'd love to burst her bubble. Unfortunately I can't get any pics of the watch, but the thing which jumped out at me on inspection was the jumping second hand, where I would expect a quality watch to have a sweeping second hand. I personally would never pay a large amount for a battery powered quartz watch, but obviously people do as PP do seem to make quartz watches, but is this a fake ? Anyone.....

I went to their Bond st boutique yesterday with the intention of buying one. I looked at pretty much the best they produce including the £1,000,000 jobbie they make 3 or so a year of. Patek make quartz watches. They aren't much cheaper then the mechanical one's either. You need to post a pic though....
It didn't look anything special, but PP never do to me Square (oblong) face with small square indices, leather strap with folding metal clasp. On the back was a number something like '15.0025.15' from memory. It looked to me like the 'Swiss Made' text under the '6' index was off square, but I only held it briefly. Dunno why they're so expensive though but I wouldn't mind stumbling on one for a tenner
