Christmas is a dirty word
Living close to a large USAF base, I listen to their radio station output on my drive/commute to and from work.
Something that has crept into their script this year (not evident last year) is qualifying any, and all, mention of Christmas with the words "if you celebrate Christmas".
E.g. " The last day for posting Christmas cards home, if you celebrate Christmas, is..." or "Happy Christmas, if you celebrate Christmas,....." etc.
I hope the UK are not doing the same

Don't Americans refer to Christmas, as the Holidays?
"Poo" is a Dirty smelly word.

Yes, often, but don't seem to need to qualify that with "if you celebrate the holidays"

Yes, point taken Les, but seriously...do you think non Christians expect Christians to 'apologise' for their celebrations? I seriously doubt it.
