Unhappy Muslim bus driver stops to pray

A Muslim bus driver stunned passengers when he pulled over and started praying in the aisle - with the engine still running.

The driver parked without warning then rolled out a fluorescent jacket as an improvised prayer mat.
He took off his shoes, knelt down facing Mecca, and began to chant.

Unbelievable! I bet that even Muslim countries don't practise this behaviour.
Why did he do it? Simple, because he could. Will he get the elbow? Of course not, thanks to human rights and such.
Good old britain!

Having lived in the ME you will find that you are never more than 5 mins or a couple of KM away from a mosque - in built up areas/most towns/cities.

Most are beautiful (certainly inside) and i quite liked the call to prayer on a hot evening watching the sun going down, first thing in the morning was a bit off a b1tch mind.

Never used public transport so cannot comment, i would imagine that they do stop if it is convenient and the Koran allows for this.

It's nice to know that such a humble god feels the need to make people pray to him as often as he does.

Mmmm stopping a bus without any warning to the passengers.

Praying for 5 minutes, again without even speaking to the passengers.

As one of the passengers said people could have taken this to be a suicide attack.

Always look on the bright side ! If a Muslim bus driver adopts the crash position in the middle of the bus isle, I am usually exiting at speed via the fire door !

I have to say that when he put his head on the prayer mat, I'd have been hard-pressed not to plant my boot right up his @rse
