Thumbs down STRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am supposed to write up training materials for a course starting on Feb 13th 2012. Hyperion EPM. The Client is not clear what they want covering, the PMO doesn't really know either, I can't access the clients servers, the only lead I had 5 days ago was "Cover Smartview" - So I've written a 70 page document on that (Written = Revised) On Friday last - I was told "Actually, they prefer Web Analysis" - I still have no access to client servers.

I puke - Even passed up on a night out at the theatre in London tonight on the understanding that I'd have access to grab screendumps etc

Today was a total wipeout - yet I'll be expected to bill 9 hours.

Are you sure they are not making use of the Foxtrot Oscar system? That I reckon you can write up in 9 hours

Don't let a job ruin your downtime!!

If you continue in this way it is going to affect your health and no job is
worth that!!!

Seen too many people end up damaging themselves through stress, please
don't be another!

Good Luck

Yeah, don't let it overwhelm you mate. I worked like a complete mentalist with no downtime and then ended up in hospital via ambulance in the first half of last year. I have since changed my working practices and try not to let things worry me as much. Hope it gets better for you mate!

The client has pushed training back, Good job really as we aren't even thru system integration testing yet. Training docs have now balloned to 160 pages as my manager also wants to include Web Analysis Studio. There is no way, IMHO having delivered professional training, that all the topics can be covered properly in a 1 day session.

160 pages worth of stuff to be covered in one day? That's ridiculous.

Boss is away till 6 March at which time we will review materials. On a separate issue - I haven't been paid since starting date of 19 Dec 2011 - I really hope I don't have to get legal on their asses.

Reminds me of my days as a teenager trying to organise to do homework, just would procrastinate and get up at 6am and do it...badly.

God I hated almost every moment of secondary school.
