read in the paper today he was exposed as a fraud by producer of one of his shows in 2009 (ish)
The producer made up a story off a pirate(or something) that had died in the area and made sure Derek overheard the story. Later in the show he claimed to be entered by the spirit of the pirate ! He was sacked from the show.
And of course he said this about Maddie while promoting his up-comming tour. Get your tickets ASAP ! lol !
.I am saddened to see that The Sun newspaper have once again done what they do best..... misquote! Yesterday a journalist from that newspaper came on to the phone to my agent's office asking about promoting my mini-tour of Northern Ireland. I agreed to an interview and during that interview the subject of Madelaine McCann came up. I told the journalist that there is no way that I wished to ju...mp ...on to the Madelaine McCann bandwagon and when asked whether she was, in my opinion, still alive I refused to answer. He asked various questions about reincarnation and I gave him my honest opinion. I am appalled at the article that has appeared in The Sun newspaper today. I am a spiritualist and as such, would in no way add to the anguish of people who have gone through what the McCann's have gone through.
He's a joke, but he has made some serious money being a joke
His comments, if he actually said them, are totally unacceptable. But it's The Sun and they print a load of old bollox at the best of times

Nearly mate. It was actually the show's Parapsychologist, Kieran O'Kieffe who deliberately leaked false information about a fictional character. He even gave him a name which was an acronym for something like "Derek Faker" and sure enough the stupid fraud then claimed to have been contacted by him from the other side!
He's a charlatan, pure and simple!
He's also a f*cking idiot if he doesn't think the above publicity stunt would backfire!
