You are all invited to attend the SMACS SUMMER FUN DAY at Buxton Raceway in the High Peak. Multimap :: Maps
The event will cost £15 per car, with unlimited access to the circuit, childrens activities, traders, show & shine competition and much more. The fun starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm.
Bring all your club members up to sunny Buxton Raceway for the scooby event of the North West. Invites are going out to SMACS, LADS, WYIOCS, SSC and MIDLAND SCOOBYS and I'm also opening the day to members of the PISTONHEADS forum in the North West area.
I've been up a few times to scout out the venue, and I can honestly say it's going to be a great place to hold a bbq. There is plenty of room for all the clubs to have their own areas, although we're not doing any stand competitions. You'll also be able to go on track whenever you like, just join the queue

As I am assuming you know the SSC has been in the process of arranging a fun day meet in aid of charity (The Richard Burns Foundation for cancer research) on the 26th August 2007 for some time. Among the many arrangements made is the guaranteed attendance of Alex Burnswith at least one of the cars used by Richard Burns.
Having sent a few members to a SMAC's meet on the 3rd May 2007 to invite your attendance, it has been brought to our attention that you have since started to arrange an event on the same date.
Obviously this raises some questions and concerns for us as there may be a direct competition between our respective clubs over what is intended to raise money for a good cause.
If the SMAC'S team/administration could get in touch with the SSC to hopefully sort out some of these issues it would be much appreciated.
I'm in touch with blueburble All will be sorted. We're not in competition, and if your raising money for the RB foundation, I'd be happy to get on board with that. I'll be speaking with Gazza today.
