The final meeting of 2007
Where did it go! It seems only a very short time ago that we were welcoming in the new year. Does time go faster as you get older? I'll be 40 next week, so mid-life crisis on the horizon, time to take stock of my life so far. Time to take stock of the club as well I guess.
From our roots, we've seen members come and go over the years. The last 2 years have seen tremendous growth in the club, and still they keep coming. There is a sense that perhaps we've too many members now, but after last weekends welsh run, I don't think that's the case. We're still quite a tight knit club, and although even I'm beginning to not recognise new members, at least you all still know me This year has been a bit quieter on the club front though for a number of reasons. I've not been around to organise as much stuff as before, and been unable to attend events that other members have organised on behalf of the club due to personal reasons. I've been a little disheartened in the dedication of some members, but I've got to remember that we are after all just a car club, it's not the be all and end all if you don't turn up to a meet or event
So, looking forward to the new year, and where we're going. 2008, smacs to the Highlands is a start, more runs out, hopefully more members organising events and visits to car shows. (I'd like to see some of our younger members organise visits to the jap car show and that sort of thing)
Finally, don't forget, the day after our meeting, on the friday, is the Christmas doo with the WYIOC, who I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of in 2008, I've sorely missed our runs out to their meetings this year

as both stressy and Anderoo are going to the meet i will have to do another test run of both cars on the A34 so that i can answer your question as to what are the differences.
if anyone else would like me to test drive their car then feel free to mention it.
