up for work this morning at 4.45 and had the dog barking downstairs. he as really freaked out. let him out and he sprinted to the back fence. assumed he had seen his first fox. onn leaving though noticeed the mat was half on the step, then thought someone has been fishing for keys.took a quick tour of the estate before heading to work. mrs phoned an hour later to say the back patio doors had been forced open but were still joined ( sort of half locked ). proper pissed off. police said 10 high performance cars had been targeted between 3+6 am. only good thing is they have 2 juveniles in custody from the first 3am attempt so they assume it is a larger organisation. was saving up to get some oz wheels i had my eye on, good price as well, but now i am booked in for a top notch £500 alarm system, anti hijack system, autolock, proximity sensor , and turbo timer inc. would like to pretend i was happy with the gadgetry about to be installed but totally gutted tbh. so alarm system £500, new patio lock supplied and fitted £70, upgraded house alarm sensors inc. panic buttons £££££££tbc cctv cameras supplied and fitted £££££££££tbc pull up security post approx. £300 supplied and fitted. FOOKIN GREAT....... dont think the mrs is gonna let me get those wheels now!!!!***$$$..

Scum bags mate, whats wrong with people, cant have anyfin decent without locking it to the floor, we had spate of it over by ours on wirral last year, tried to hook and cane my car keys, couldnt get em so robbed all my gear in garage.scumbags
sorry to hear that lee, not nice to think they where trying to come inside to get your keys.
hide your key bud, i always do and i also leave a set of scooby keys in my kitchen that are not for my car just incase. kind of red herrin.
post lock is the best idea although costly and keep the keys seperate. you can also get external alarm detectors that you could say wire to a buzzer in the house then you will know if anyone goes near it.
Sorry to hear about your probs my06ppp, im in Liverpool too, just wired my garage door up to the mains the other day, complete with warning sticker
loving that idea

talked about this with the missus and we see things entirely diffrent. i am a baseball bat and cs gas type of guy, followed by a lift in a wheelie bin to the local park, whereas she is think of your family, so middle ground is make things as hard as possible for them, if they do get in and threaten for keys, hand them over and let anti hijack do its work. the car would be 30 secs up the road, they would be out of our home, hopefully no damage to vehicle.
gutted for u lee, im with u on the baseball bat idea, only way the little pr**ks will learn, as said before, u really cant have anythin anymore, well lets hope if they do manage to nick any motors they put em head on into a wall at 100+
