How do you change a water pump on an Astra?

Anyone give me a quick rundown......its a basic 1.4.How easy is it?
Might have to do it tonite..

Wazz the timing belt off, 3 allen keys, jobs a guddun Fairly easy really IIRC the water pump acts as the timing belt tensioner too...I'd put a new timing belt on at the same time

Oh, you might need a pry bar to persuade the pump out

Question

Is that all i need to remove,the belt then the water pump?...no pulleys or wheels?

however the later 1.4's had a tensioner wheel instead of using the water pump to adjust the tension. The change over was around 1991

Finished...took about two hours.Not too much involved.
