Default Short shift....

Will a short-shifter for a MK3 Golf 8v fit a MK3 16v????

Should do, the only difference between the two in the engine bay is the cylinder head.

Found out that the 8v is rod operated and the 16v is cable operated..... so it is a no, unfortunately.

Ah, my mistake, I didn't think they brought the cable shift 'box in until the end of the Mk3 period
