Hey there

Just had the airbag light come on the Megane scenic (its a 1998). Does anyone know if this car is OBD-II compliant and if so where the port is, i have a code reader (ELMSCAN 5) but I'm unsure as to where to plug it in.

Also if it does turn out to be the Airbag ecu is there anywhere cheap i can get them?

i have the owners manual and al it says about the airbag light is that if it flashes or stays on then consult the dealer asap, will keep looking through to see if it is OBD-II compliant :thumb:

You tried the old trick of checking the connector under the seat (if it has a connector there)?

Yes mate gave them a spray with electrical cleaner then re connected them, oh well i'll keep trying!!!

Even if elm 5 can connect to the car it won't reset the light, best way is to fix the fault and then reset the battery once fixed the light will go out :)

was gonna use it to find the fault, i though tit may tell me what the problem is. Theres so many sensors and control units i got a bit lost looking!!!!
