Like that I does

I considered an early (97-99) Ibiza Cupra 16v when I had to sell the Scoob last year. But couldn't find one for decent money (under £1500). Ended up with my 21 year old box

Bet it struggles for grip to start with but flies when the powers down dear boy

Danny, you really need to relocate the fuses on top of the battery (****e design that one)
and do you carry plenty of spare Maf's? be a pisser if that kept going off into limp mode

looks pretty good though fella, and the little 'biza's are good at handling the power.

good luck in reaching the elusive 350

Like it, I am 38 now so would have it in a more nondescript colour and trim combo but love the idea, those VAG 1.8T engines are so tunable, I was in my 250/288 Saab 9-3 the other day and a lad in Golf 1.8T GTI had a go and I struggled to keep up, must have been messed with as they, as standard are pretty slow.

Yeah Picked up the engine this morning and going to start stripping it down...Looking in to a td05-16g or might save abit more and get aTd06-18G.
It never goes in to limp mode as its done prober. As i took my time doing and the MAF doesn't rattle around...Suprises a few Evo's tbh...

Gonna Have a think this afterNoon Do i 1.9 20vt with Inconel Valves and Titeuim springs.....

Yeah The Poor in standard Form Up awesome Peice of kit once work on...I can get a 2.0 Stroker kits for them And the Gt3071R bolts on with loads of room too...(Bit Pointless Doing it on a 1.8 as it would be Well laggy)

I want a Fast spooling Turbo (Full boost Around 3.3-3.5krpm) as in a little ibiza it will go Really well...
Seems Td05-16G can Produce a nice 340bhp Which id be happy with as im struggling for traction at the moment...

500: I don't reckonize your name

The 1st few photos were of a Boxster S Brembos but i needed a 20mm spacer for my Wheels to clear...

So sourced a set of 4 pot willwoods with 310mmx30mm Discs with Ds2500 pads with braided hoses and LCR Master cylinder..Stops quite well tbh

My wife has a standard 1.2 so bring it on :-) Seriously though I like the idea of a quick Ibiza as even the 1.2 drives like a real car - good luck with the power upgrade...

I am a big fan of those small turbo's, the TD0415g is what comes on Volvo 850 T5's - I have had a few and they pack, when fettled, some serious midrange punch - not always hitting big BHP numbers but seriously usable.

My last volvo was a P1 V70R with a 18T turbo much more linear delivery and not much fun at all. Sounds like you have a perfect partner

The VF22 is a very old design and does not make decent boost on a 2litre impreza till 4k rpm, so I think you will find it quite laggy and the general opinion is that the VF22 is not very strong when run over 1.4bar.

Banny

What he said
I have a hybrid VF22 on my scoob, laggy low down, doesnt start to come on boost until 3.5k, cant really take it any higher but full boost around 4k on a 2ltr engine, will be even laggier on a cupra with a standard VF22 and not an MD series like mine is (plus I cant give her stick until she is remapped).
Nice looking car though still I would love to get hold of one of those 92/3 model bronze Ibiza 200bhp jobbies (even though they are meant to be unreliable as hell).

Tony is that the garrett wheeled hybrid? As I had one prior to my current turbo and it was pretty poor response wise also but it was better once I started running 10% methanol. Will see if I can find my old dyno run sheet for it.
