Nice to see some difrent opinions
im sure the white looks fantastic and i know the green is too much maybe to in your face for a lot of people, maybe evan me

now to the clio ive never driven one and i know its a great car already look at the press it gets but i cant help feel it would be a masive step down at the moment and so it should be for the extra 9k the rs costs, its abit like the the scooby evo thing the scooby was always a little behind because the evo was a lot more money

maybe i will sell the RSin three years time and buy 2 of the clios

Being an ex french car nut ive had heaps of clios. 1x172, 1x 182 and 4x cliowilliams and a megane f1. now my bro had the old RS and i would of said it was alot better then the clios imho. i would say the megane is the only one that came close.
P.s gotta luv those williams

There are quite a few threads on the Ford sites about this. Main colour problem is the Green cars. Some people have refused their cars, and Ford have said they'll re-paint them. Who wants a brand new car resprayed?.

I believe it has something to do with the paint not settling right on the Plastic. .
Plastic primer doesn't have the same porosity which is what causes issues.

TBH a fully re-sprayed brand new car (A good job) would be brilliant in my opinion! 3 extra layers to protect the metalwork, more care taken than a robot spray booth and a better "finish" with a wet mop polish after laquer, re-primed plastics and a better colour match!

Making the assumption that the sprayer is good at his job. I've had to have an R32 resprayed for a customer straight off the transporter as it had been stood for 6 weeks and was PEPPERED with bird lime which had fruit-acid-eroded into the lacquer, and the respray was far better than the standard factory finish!!

I think with a respray, it's the worry of overspray on rubbers etc. that may make the car look like a CAt D at resale!

IMO yes it does,i could go on all night about how good the car is but people have allready said "your gona say that because you own one" so i wont go on mutch

a few words that describe the car for me, fast, safe, solid, torq steer, head turner,

people stop stare, take photos, pull me over, ask me how good the car is, drive around me 5 times in a carpark, stop and chat at traffic lights, beep horns, flash there lights and wave thumbs up, its like no car iv ever owned before probably a lot
to do with the colour and the hype, in the press
for me it has given me back a pasion for cars , makes me feel happy every time i get in the car or evan look out the the window.
my last 3 cars have been diesels altho all good cars dident give me the buzz i get with the RS

im on holiday for two weeks tomorow and know im gonna miss the car while im away
people by now must be thiking ,this fella needs to get a life
